Should I Focus On Blogging Or List Building

Hey Warriors,

Thanks for all the help on all of my other threads. I run a blog at Smarter Wealth: The Smarter Way To Wealth and I am also building a double opt in list.

I want to know what you think I should focus on. Should I focus on my blog, or my list or do both at the same time?

Let me know your thoughts as to what is most profitable, both immediately and long term

your list is your asset. You build your blog so the traffic will build your list (and your relationship with them)

So keep going on both? and use my blog to build my list?
So really even focusing on blogging is focusing on your list

Yes I say do both. You can also make money from your blog while building a huge list at the same time. Just make sure you offer good quality content on your blog so that your readers are happy and stay on your site.

The more they love your content the more they will be inclined to buy your recommended products.

a blog can be an asset in it's own right too, depending on exactly what you use it for ... if you can get good google love, it can be invaluable for climbing up the SERPS when new products launch etc

Definitely use the blog "with" your list. Put up videos and other great content and email your list every single time you put a new post up. It will show you are trying to give value without trying to sell them all of the time.

Also, when your list sees that people are commenting on your blog, it will build that relationship of trust and credibility that you definitely want and need.

The list and blog go hand in hand. You shouldn't do one without the other.

If you can only have one, go with the list. But unless you're in some parallel universe where multiple avenues aren't available (hey, it could happen), then yes, of course go with both.

And they aren't even mutually exclusive.

You need content to feed your list, so write great blog posts and tell your list about them.

And the people who come upon your blog from another source can be offered something in return for joining your list -- and then you feed them links back to your blog.

    It can be really cyclical.

I think I will most definately be doing both
But I will be blogging with the focus of two things
    1. Building My List

I will be using blogging as a method of building my list.
It is a small return on investment now but it the future it could definately become worth while

    2. Creating Products
Blogs are a great place to develop product ideas and I will be using my blog for this. Then selling the completed ebooks to my list
