JV for list buliding?

If I create a product and offer it free, are there people that are interested in sending to their list because it is free and good info for their list? Or do most JV people want something to gain financially from a JV, ie I think this would build trust for them and a list for me? Worth looking at?

People would be willing to send it to their list if there is no opt-in for it.

They will loose subscribers when they mail it to them with an opt-in form for it so it is not something that really would help them out.

The reason why people do swaps or solo ads is because they would make more money or subs than they loose with the mailing.

What you could do is have your affiliate links in your free report and give that to people to send (without an opt-in) and then get some money on the back-end.

Yes, some will but if they send it for free they're not going to want to send their subscribers to a squeeze page where they'll lose their subscriber unless you do an ad swap, maybe.

If you want to keep it in the realm of free then you should look into JV Giveaways. At least that way everyone benefits.

        What am I missing?

Basically almost everytime you send a mailing out you are most likely going to lose a couple of subs. You lose the least subs when you send something free (without opt-in), then just a message, then a promotion to an affiliate offer and squeeze page are about equal.

It is not that they get unsubscribed because they join the other list. It is that they unsubscribe because they don't like that you are sending them to join another mailing list.

So I could potential offer something FREE that requires no opt in, but put a link to opt in for more information?

Ask yourself why would anyone want to send their traffic to the report that they don't own? What's in it for them? Except maybe if it's at least $100 worth of offer or some kind of cool software.

If they would want to build trust, they would write a free report themselves (with their name on it).

People with huge lists always wants something in return, and usually it's $.

Your best bet would be to create an amazing product and put it on JVZoo or Warrior+ and offer 100% commisions to your affiliates. And after purchase direct buyers to your squeeze page for a download link.

Even though this is not guarantee to work either, because there are already quality products that offer 100% comissions.

If you want someone to send traffic to your squeeze page, most likely you will need to buy a solo ad. Or do a swap (if you have your own list).

Yes. But the response above is somewhat right. It needs to be a very valuable report for someone to want to mail it to their list without branding it themselves.

One stratagey I have used with something similar is to allow the person I gave the report to to brand the report with their affiliate links and ask them to keep me as the author with the link to my webpage at the end of the report. That way they can give value to their list in the report and make affiliate commissions inside, while I get the credibility and people coming to my site.

OP, that will raise somebody else's eyebrow. Nobody wants to lose his own list, of course. Offer something that is on a win-win situation.

Just make your ebook a viral marketing tool. State on the first page of your ebook that "you have my permission to distribute this ebook on your site and to others". I would use it to grow my list from an aggressive viral campaign.
