I got $100 that I decided I will spend on advertising.

And I'm thinking where should I advertise.

I was thinking about buying a solo ad.

Or maybe try facebook ads.

Or try out advertising on bing.

Or maybe something else.

Well, what kind of advertising would you recommend?

I you do not have much money, would recommend starting with free advertising such as blogs, forums, videos, and facebook. Once you get the hang of that and start getting commissions, than you can start spending. This is my opinion anyway.
But if you really want to spend some money, you should try facebook ads which work for me.

Test them all out, I'd hate to recommend one and then you don't make a sale

I have spent a lot of time on free traffic and have made some money, but it's very slow and to speed things up I want to jump on paid advertising. Yeah, I might try Facebook.

Well, with just $100 I don't really have the privilege to test them all out

Look for free facebook and adwords credits, then split the rest. Make sure you set a limit and be ready to pause the campaigns, so you don't get charged after your credits are done...

100 bucks isnt much to advertise, I agree with some of the other posters.

Think about another idea, why not create a really good article and pay a couple bucks to get it posted on 100 article directories? Or perhaps buy some links-quality links that is.

SEO is a way better idea to invest in then waste some money on a facebook ad. I highly doubt, unless you spend tons of money, will get much back from a facebook or linkedin ad.

Take my opinion with a big grain of salt.

Be very careful with Facebook ads. I had all kinds of trouble cancelling an ad that I had placed. I ended up paying close to $200 before I managed to contact them. They make it close to impossible to get a hold of support.

What credits do you have in mind?

I have been burnt by SEO and I'm not planning to buy backlinks that can potentially penalize my site. I would rather build a list with advertising.

Well, I have did a campaign before and they didn't overcharge me. Maybe you configured your campaign wrong?

Facebook and Solo Ads, but you will need a good funnel, so at least you get your money back.

If you're going to use facebook ads make sure you research the platform thoroughly.

A lot of money is wasted by targeting your campaigns too broadly. It's all about learning how to really narrow and target your exposure scope.

Google Adwords and Bing Ads. Invest $50 into both and track your results.

Advertising what? The site in your footer?
Deciding where to place an ad before you know where to find your target doesn't sound quite right to me... ?

Where is your target? Are they hanging on FB or maybe on a very large forum where you can place an ad?
Somewhere, your target is grouped together. You want to find that place.

OK first I'm confused - your signature (and the site it points to) says "Free Report Reveals An Abandoned Free Traffic Source That Builds Your List And Puts Money Into Your Hot Pocket" . So why not use your own product and use that mysterious "Abandoned Free Traffic Source" instead of investing in paid advertising?

My thoughts as well, you never mentioned WHAT you are advertising. A MMO site and an Online Dating site (to use two examples) would not necessarily benefit from the same type of advertising. Who are you advertising to?

LOL, love that line Jesse! And it's very accurate in this case.

If all you have now is 100 $, don't buy PPC ads!
If you'd still want to spend it on advertising, then buy listings, blog posts or something else for SEO and also direct traffic. But don't waste it on linkfarm listings, poor directory links...
