InstaBuilder vs OptimizePress Debate

Hey everyone,

I just saw the first demo for the Instabuilder and not gonna lie I was pretty impressed with it. I am actually considering getting it, I currently use Optimize Press and I really like it but I think InstaBuilder might be a nice addition.

What does everyone else think? Has anyone had OptimizePress and went to Instabuilder and are you happy with the move?

Since you use Optimize Press (I do to) what did you see that you like about InstaBuilder that you cannot do with optimize Press?

What other programs can InstaBuilder integrate with?

When I have a system that is working I find it very hard to move for just a few options because I have to then learn a whole new system. I currently use Optimize Press and WishList member and couldn't be happier.

    Hey Mike,

This is the link I saw: I have just got the video I saw take a look at it http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=j4kkBlZdkm8

It is very similar to optimize press but with less code ... take a look at the video and let me know what you think its about 9 mins long.

Instabuilder is only a plugin, not a theme. You still need OptimizePress or other themes. And then you can use Instabuilder to build pages.

I've seen some demos from instabuilder and they look pretty good. But in my opinion, still no comparison to optimizepress. Not just functionality, but also support and updates. Themes, plugins and softwares come and go each and every day. OP has stood the test of time so far. Not knocking any product creators, but optimizepress has built a certain reputation and trust that a lot of marketers have come to rely on. Until I see or experience that kind of support from other software developers, I will stick with OP.

I totally agree and like I said I use OP but this actually looks like it would supplement OP better as its a plugin not a theme replacement so you could use OP and IB together. Did you happen to check out the video I posted above djax?

I checked out the video. It looks like a pretty decent plugin and simple to setup. My only concern now a days is that a some product creators tend to give support and updates for their products for a few months and after that you are basically on your own while they move on to the next thing. I found out the hard way on a few occasions.

Do not buy Instabuilder unless you are absolutely sure that it is what you need. I purchased it looking to do membership type of sites and wanted a refund because Instabuilder CANNOT do them.

    I was told "Hi Ian,

We do have a refund procedure whereby people contact us here if they want a refund, and we make a decision based on the information provided. We list every feature the plugin has, and there is no mention of InstaBuilder making membership sites, although it can easily create all the standard pages required in a membership site.

I have over 40 other products but this is a recent one that might be useful for what you are doing: Instant Banner Presence: amazing banners and header graphics with NO Photoshop and NO design skills

    Martin"

If this is the type of support you want then go ahead but my advice is stay AWAY. There are other themes and plugins that are much better. I went with OptimizePress and Profit Theme. I have Instabuilder if you want it

WOW - i wish i had read this and spent a ton of time building a whole site.. then only to find out, not only does it not "Make" membership sites".... it is not compatible with membership sites. So, you can not even "create all the standard pages required in a membership site"
I should have known better. i build the entire site and then installed S2Member - no pages or posts are protected!.. deactivated it (lost all the customization from Instabulder).. and S2Member works as beautifuly as normal

If insta builder is actually optin-lite 2.0...to hell with it. So much wouldn't work with opt-in lite, and the support was non support.

OP is the standard. I bought salespresspro and am happy with it. Mark keeps all his stuff up to date. If I had OP, I wouldn't have bought it though. They are very similar. Mark just had a good deal going on, and it's developers editio (which op doesn't sell).

What!?!? Are you sure you got developers license for salespresspro? I would be surprised. Mark did not offer developer, just multi on your own sites. He said somewhere he would charge upwards of $1000 for developers.

OptimizePress is a theme and InstaBuilder is only a plugin.

We don't need to versus debate these kind of stuff because in my opinion, I think that these 2 kind of site builder can be combined!

On InstaBuilder, you can easily Make a squeeze page most probably if your purpose is to build a list.

On Optimizepress, you can make a system that runs your product online.

I have NO argument about these 2 useful tools regarding IM Business.

But there's one more thing I want to say about InstaBuilder, Do they copy the codes on OptinLite Plugin? because I am using OptinLite Plugin + OptimizePress to manage my site quite perfect.

    Thanks,
    John Keane

instabuilder takes too much ram on my server so I just purchased optimizepress yesterday, and yes instabuilder cannot build membership sites

I have played with both and I think it depends on what you are promoting. If you just want a bunch of quick squeeze pages and posting to Facebook to get optins fast then Instabuilder is good.

For a long term marketing approach I would pick Optimizepress for several reasons. Optimzepress has the quick pick columns option that is auto formatted to the template and the code overall is custom to the template , so no guess work there. Also the amount included with the pricing in the long run would be less expensive as you do not need to buy all the other addins that Instabuilder has as optional upgrades.
