Hi

I am setting up a FREE Internet Marketing list. However I have
several ideas how to do it. And I would like to hear warriors input.

My ideas is to:

1. Setup a WP Blog where user register and can login and read.
2. Setup Aweber and send post by email.

Delivery:

1. Send plain text emails.
2. Post pages on blog.
3. Create PDF letters and post email/blog

What would you recommend?

Thanks,

Daniel

      Ok, Thanks!

Is there any good WP List that you can recommend as there is
a load of them out there. If commercial is better I go for that.

That's my bet as well. Plain text works wonders nowadays obviously, always capture emails -- this is a must

        Hi

Yes, plain text is the key in Business correspondence. This way you never
have to worry about subscribers getting angry I mean if you want HTML
        then there are blogs.

I have currently a list that get between 25-100 subscribers a week. And
that is all cause of top Google placements. And I wanted to expand the
        content sent.

I think one major mistake on blogs now days is to have right side full of
ads and subscribe form. I have very hard time to navigate right. I read
a book when I was at the University named "Don't make me Think". If
you have not read it, do so. Really cool and educational.

    Ditto what James said.

Get your blog cranking with some great info, stuff people REALLY want to read.

Get your opt in form in full view on the blog.

Keep in touch with the subscribers with free tips, info snippets, links to new blog posts and then you can slowly slip a few aff products (ones you fully endorse of course) in between.

    The Key? ACTION

I'd recommend you use a third party autoresponder for your list, such as Aweber. It saves you many things that you can't/don't want to do on your own server.

Daniel, think of your blog as the super-highway where you draw thousands and thousands of readers each month and you have "off-ramps" where you branch out to collect opt-in subscribers.

For example, yes, you place an opt-in form on your blog to give away a course, ebook, report, or other information in exchange for their email.

You can post to your blog part 1 of a video series where they click on your post to be taken to a page where they see part 1 but must opt-in to get part 2.

You can offer a 1-time 10-page report on a tip, technique, strategy or case study you are offering and collect an opt-in on that.

I highly recommend you use a 3rd party autoresponder script, the management of your lists and options for communicating with them are far greater than with any Wordpress script or form.

It should be simple and you must also use autoresponder.

For WP blog theme you might want to consider something like mine. You can see the layout and do your consideration.

Another option is to use a pop-up opt-in form. There are some free plug-ins that let you do this. I haven't tried them but apparently they really boost your list-building efforts.
