What are your thoughts on Hubpages and Squidoo? Which one is better suited for directing visitors to sites? Which one has more earning potential? Which one is better for IM? I hear mixed responses all the time with this question, but I really want to know which one is worth my time?

Any links or feedback is greatly appreciated.

I haven't really used Hubpages, but I can tell you that Squidoo has made me money. Albeit it's a pretty small amount, but I'm very new to IM and that was kind of a big deal for me.

I think if you're going to devote some time to either one of them, go with Squidoo. Google absolutely loves it and it's really easy and fast to get your lenses ranked way up at the top - I know this from experience.

But don't take my word for it alone, do some research and find out which is best for you. I can't really speak to this issue because I have no experience with Hubpages, but I consider myself successful with Squidoo and will continue to use it.

I have sucessfully used Squidoo for traffic and even have been making some money with it. I used to post more to Hubpages. However after all of the Google penalties, I do not get anywhere near as much traffic from there.

Squidoo lenses can be taken away from the site's internal link structure and made live again depending on seasonality, current popularity, social activity etc. The url is still live just not to be found via browsing on the site. This is one of the few downsides to squidoo.

As far as I'm aware once approved hubpage urls are always live and internally linked to. However I could very easily be wrong here. I've literlly just started learning about these two sites.

Definitely look into Squidoo.....Yes, many affiliate products are no-no's on there but just familiarize with what niches are acceptable on there and you can develop a nice portfolio of sites on there....It's a great starting point if you're breaking into IM
