Need A REALLY QUICK Way To Accept A Client's Credit Card

INTERNET MARKETING

I told them I can request it with the paypal request money feature, but they don't seem to want to have to do anything manually themselves. They just want to give me their credit card number and have me process it for them.

What I was thinking of doing was just creating a PayPal request to my own account, and putting it through there. That seems of dubious legality though.

Is there any quick, affordable, LEGAL way to accept a client's credit card info, keeping in mind I need to put the number in myself?

Does 2checkout allow moto transactions where the card holder isnt present ?

  I added a paypal button on my side bar on my wordpress website.
  
  I use a buy button and didn't add an amount. Just set up a paypal account, verify you are a business and create your button - they give you the html code for your web.

  Doesnt cost much.
  
  Otherwise you can find a direct debit company.
  
  I prefer paypal as i can input it straight away and you see it goes though straight away and clears into your paypal account immediately.

  You are looking for MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order), some merchant cc accounts allow this, some don't. Google search it and you should find something.
  
  Then just fill out their application and if you are approved you are good to go, no programming or setup or anything since its all MOTO.

Have you taken a look at a service called stripe? google it and you will see its very impressive. Shame its not available in the UK yet!

2checkout will require the CVV code from the credit card. You should consider hiring an outside agency to take orders over the phone for you though.

square up works very well, better than I though, but use it for offline stuff all the time, if my paypal is stuffs up or is not loading (which is all the time. LOL)

I haven't tried, but I have seen PayPal can accept credit card payment directly, and without registering an account, you can try it.
