Clickbank Alternatives for vendors AND affiliates??

So it begins.... the death of Clickbank. (see thread http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ccounts-5.html)

So, the natural question is: Are there reputable Clickbank alternatives for both vendors and affiliates?

Hopefully, the answers here can help a lot of Warriors!

Shopping Cart | Affiliate Software | Sell Online comes to mind. They allow Google Checkout, PayPal, and authorize.net

Not quite as full a set of features as Clickbank, but they're up and coming.

Does anyone know the implication of the clickbank color rating thingy?

PS: Not meaning to highjack thread. JVZoo is one I've seen with momentum as of late, also Paypal seems pretty good. (as long as you don't get lots of complaints, but really, you don't want complaints anywhere).
    Here's 5:

    Custom Shopping Cart
    Free Signup
    Infusion Soft
    1ShoppingCart
    PayPal

I hear a Bob Dylan tune in my head. Survival of the most adaptable seems to be what divides the sheep from the goats in business.

For the record, ClickBank has been established longer than Google, has (as of today) now paid out over $2.25 Billion in client earnings, and continues to grow steadily. Meanwhile, in internet marketing forums, its impending demise has been announced at least several times per month ever since I've been online.

True, Alexa. However, the same could be said about Paypal. After years of policy changes, millions in marketer funds withheld, bad business decisions and general insanity - most internet marketers won't touch Paypal with a 10 ft pole. Just because CB (and Paypal) have track records and a history of financial success, it doesn't mean that they can't shoot themselves in the foot. (see Google). Ironically, CB may prove to not be evergreen.

  • creating your own private offer on your own platform is where a lot are going. mainly due to clickbank not approving IM related offers, and also, because clickbank's refund rate is ridiculous since they refund to anyone and everyone.

i actually have done this with my offers. i moved my offers over to my own merchant and use 1shoppingcart for my affiliate program.

actually, i just added a CPA offer that pays $50 per $4.95 sale and if anyone is interested in mailing for the offer, pm me and i can get you setup in our system.

This seems to be a prevalent situation. Google slaps, Amazon affiliate cancellations and now Clickbank. Followed by many more third party players soon. It's all just a natural maturation of the technology. I guess that means less shortcuts and more talent and work needed to produce something of worth which creates less problems and returns real value to the customer. Which is to say, same as it ever was.

    paydotcom

I still like clickbank, and think it is the best even though they are doing this stupid color coding things.

  • i agree with brains gone wild. paypal is becoming an issue as well and jv zoo runs everything through paypal. if you have havent been burned by paypal yet, you are most certainly on their list at some point in time, especially if you sell IM related products. i have had so many partners get burned by them and i dont trust them to hold on to my money so for many, jvzoo isnt an option unless they integrate with merchant accounts.

JVZoo is a viable option. Good for both, vendors and affiliates.

Well I can't complain I got checks from clickbank for 10 years actually! So I can't complain, but still I'm going to. They are so unfair about what products they accept and not accept. I mean you put all this work into creating a product and then submit it and they reject it for no good reason. It's so dumb. I'm just about to launch something new. I guess I must love being the CB whipping boy cuz I think my best bet is to try get on with them again. They'll probably reject. If they don't I'm golden, if they do then I'll just go with some small no name outfit. I'm not excited about that either but I guess that's all the name of the game. But ya I just hate when big companies are not fair and unbiased. They give sweet heart deals to there insider crew of snake oil sales men and everyone else is locked out.

There are reasons for that, hello.

They're becoming a little stricter (though they'll still accept product-types and sales-page-types that neither Plimus nor 2Checkout will accept, and say so openly) not because they want to make life difficult for vendors but in response to the significantly changing regulatory climate and the demands of their own upline financial service providers.

Exactly the same is true of companies like PayPal and many of their competitors.

With absolutely no wish to sound unsympathetic about it, I appreciate that to the person who's had a product declined, it's often going to feel like it's "for no good reason", even though ClickBank is actually less strict regarding product acceptance and approval than many other retailers/processors.

I wish you good luck with it, anyway.

unfortunately it really looks this way

Clickbank designed the colours system in order to keep the money
from over 80% of the accounts (by saying they didn't reach the absurd requirements they invented...)

I agree. I only occasionally referred clients to Clickbank products when they were relevant. Consequently I only got the very occasional sale. Because it was several months between my first and second sale, Clickbank literally took all of my first commission, charging me monthly fees for holding onto my money. I can now see my second and third sales commissions going the same way. They not only stole the money from me, but also from the product vendor. I'm done with them now, I'm not referring anyone else to Clickbank products because I've never received one single penny of the commission I fairly earned. The company can go to Hell as far as I'm concerned, they are nothing but thieves.

And that was until now. Now they charge so much more higher fees for literally ANYTHING and they charge absurdly high fees whenever there is a refund.

And for sure in any decent serious correct business, the affilliate will never be penalized for a refund, more than losing his commission.

but in Clickbank, when there is a refund, you not only lose all your commission,
but you also pay EXTRA 45.00 $ penalization fee.... !!!

Yes, it is truly mindblowing how Clickbank has become...

Blimey, I didn't know that. I don't understand how a company like this can be allowed to exist. Don't you have laws against these sort of scam business practices in the US? In the UK for instance, when bank charges crept up to around £30 each, the government stepped in and capped it at a few pounds to reflect the true cost. We were also allowed to claim back all the money they'd overcharged us, plus interest, costing them billions.

here are the official fees from their website:

    Refunds and Chargebacks

Chargeback fee: ClickBank Markup* Greater of ClickBank Markup or $45

so this is on top of losing completely your commission, you are also penalized extra !!!

money that goes straight from your pockets, to Clickbank's very fat pockets...

I don't think clickbank will die - its too established.

However, I prefer JVZoo personally. The layout and ease of use. I like the payment and refund system. Great for sorting out OTOs really easily.

Yes I'm a fan (at the moment!). And you can add a product for free so test it out and see how you get on. There is a small commission for JVZoo but they also do promote your product for you!

They did not deduct any fee from the vendor

Instead of $45 it should be $3 maximum
