ClickBank insists on disclaimer for pen name

Hi,

I'm releasing a product on ClickBank and am using a pen name and the bottom of the sales pitch and thank you page.

ClickBank has insisted I out a disclaimer at the bottom of each page saying I'm using a pend name - fair enough.

Question for other CB vendors is, does having a disclaimer on your pen name affect sales, do you think?

Do you bother using a pen name? Do you use any name at all?

Thanks
Robert

I use a pen name for different markets all the time. Just explain in the fine print that you do it to protect the private life and safety of you and your family.

people who read it will understand... Even toss in a few examples of celebrities who use pen names if you're really concerned about people reading the disclaimer.

If the product is a great one, then a disclaimer will make no difference to sales Robert, IMO. Truth be known, many potential customers probably won't even take much notice of the legal footnote. In fact some people may actually view the disclaimer as a mark of your disclosure and honesty, thus enhancing your marketing integrity. Onwards, onwards.

Thanks Derek. Good ideas. I'll mention the 'protect the private life and safety of you and your family' part in my disclaimer.

Thanks David. Pretty much what I thought.
