Don't know how to promote

Hi,

Our company has just launched a website for selling bridal dress.

Other than SEO, we have no ideas on what to do.

If budget is not a concern, can anyone suggest some ways to consider?

Thanks
Ringo

  • You could always try a offline "referral" program. So say if someone to refer a friend to go to your store to purchase a dress, and actually do purchase a dress you can pay the "referrer" an x amount of cash.

This will motivate others to refer their friends to go to your store to purchase a dress because of the motive of earning a couple bucks.

    Hope that helped!
  • Dear Ringo,

You can try oneline optimization as well as sending your online catalogs to various businesses around the world. You can email various company formation companies and ask them if they have a list of companies who are like minded. If those company formation companies have opt in businesses and they are willing to sell you the new businesses and some old businesses list ( ofcourse opt in ) then surely you can send them your catalog.

Now 2nd thing that you can do is to contact various stores ( high street stores ) around the world and offer your services.

    These are just some example.

    Kind regards,
    Swrajit

    • Pay per click advertising
      Facebook
      Twitter
      Google +
use a free newsletter and Aweber to build a mailing list
Make a blog or forum to get conversations going and develop stickiness
Link exchange and oldie but goodie
All business cards etc need to have your card (see the ebook Sneaky Ad Tricks)
Buy advertising from similar topiced websites

About all I can think of for now

  • To be honest, without some budget it will be extremely slow and daunting and at this point, i will prefer to go offline marketing with door to door, banners, flyers e.t.c.
  • forum marketing... tried that yet? not forgetting about social media marketing too.. Instagram!! Pinterest? hmmm~

    • I can give you an idea from a challenge many years ago...
      1. Identified within your area is there a local business / website that had all the contacts for all the brides getting married in the coming months.
      2. Through this business / website send an e / mail blast (special sale on a predetermine date).
Work out a deal... negotiate... make it win-win...

(The result for that challenge was that there was a long line of soon-to-be-brides waiting for the store to open and want to get in first for the "largest selection". Of course the deal must be good for this to work.)

  • I would go to the book store, check out which magazines on the rack target
brides-to-be... and check out their advertising rates.

If you have the budget, a small display ad would work well.

I've personally used magazines, direct mail, and other offline
methods to grow online businesses. It's great because there's
less clutter, you've got EXTREMELY targeted people (only brides
will pick up wedding or bride magazines) and you'll have a lot less
    competition.

I would combine a few paid methods like pay per click marketing,
maybe approach a few complementary websites that you would
fit well with and see if you can either buy some ad space or
    rent their mailing list.

But i'd definitely go with offline approaches too, when I put a ring
on my fiance's finger years ago... her first stop was the book store,
where she proceeded to grab every wedding/bridal magazine she could
    find.
  • You should ought to use things like Pinterest or Facebook as well. Post those pictures at social media sites.
  • Use Google CPC and Facebook CPC.

Partner with other businesses in related niches and exchange links.

Create a FB page and invite all contacts, then promote the page.

Create YouTube videos on topics related to choosing a wedding dress, planning a wedding etc and direct viewers to your site.

Consider buying ads on sites in related niches like wedding planning, wedding photography, catering, flowers, locations etc.

    Hope that helps!

  • You can get many benefits if you can use social media marketing correctly. :-) And also Adword will be helpful for you.
  • Social media my friend!

Create a new following and try to connect to them from there!

Seo is a great way to start but try to focus on the quality aspect of it...
  • You can use offline methods like getting a sticker for you car and advertising your business's website.

You can use Pay Per click.

You can ask for a referral from others and offer to pay them a commission once a sale is made.

Create articles related to your niche.

Create videos and post them on YouTube.

Just a few ideas that came to mind.
  • Since you don't want to use seo which is like the best process to promote then try PPC. You can also do offline marketing, go door to door and do a referral program too.

  • Create a free report to do with planning
    weddings etc.

Drive traffic to that report. 2 step is the
way to go. Quickly give valuable info and
    sell what you have.
