$40k - $60k to Invest OFFER TO THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE

Hi All,

I'm new to the forums have just been going through everything trying to take in as much as I can. So far I like what I see and I'm looking forward to moving forward with all of you.

So first a quick story. My friend was in a horrible accident nearly a year ago. He was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in a cross walk. Someone ran the light and hit him doing about 60 m/h. He is now (most likely) permanently brain damaged. He can walk and function but will have processing issues, speech issues, and seizures for the rest of his life. He has received a decent amount of money which he has in-trusted to me in order to help him live and provide for himself and his son.

I have experience in business and I own several businesses within the travel industry. I however am trying to find something within the IM realm that I can invest in and move forward with.

I am trying to get some help with what exactly to do. I have read some previous threads that have talked about finding a mentor with experience that I can partner with and split profits in order to learn from them. Buying existing sites vs building up my own.

Any help with what I should do would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to foot the bill and split profits with someone on a project or two or three if it means learning and being able to help him set a future.

He has had a difficult life and I'd like to do everything I can to make sure that he does not have to worry about financials in the future moving forward.

Thanks for any help you can give and please ask questions or send PMs if need be.

-Nick

Buy some solo ads and build a huge list. Then email that list 3 times a week with offers. There is more info on this in the forum.

Your list isn't going to remain there very long if you're just spamming them with offers every week.

You said you were in the travel industry right? Why not take your business over the internet and expand them? That would be a good start to the IM Industry, an industry you already have experience with and know about.

When it comes to making money online, you essentially are doing one of two things.

      A: Selling someone else's product
      B: Selling your own product.

Even if you run a site just promoting ads, you're still selling someone else's product.

I'm not sure what you're looking to do but it would take longer than a post that anyone can provide here to truly get you started in the right step without first figuring out what you're looking to do, what your goals are, if you're looking to get your company involved into the internet marketing world and other details. I'll go ahead and send you a PM and maybe we can chat tonight over Skype if need be and I'll help you out with some further details and see if I can be of assistance.

I responded to your PM. As I stated in the PM I would not want to bring my existing business into this. It is already online but it is not something that I plan on staying involved in. I will most likely work full time on new ventures that benefit both myself and my friend.

I understand that there is a lot that would need to be said in a post and that is not always possible. However if anyone has a basic idea that they want to list or PM with information then I'm all ears.

    Thanks,

    Nick

I doubt you will see many names put forward but I expect your PM box will get full dangling a carrot like that.
Make sure you do your due diligence on any 'hopefuls'
    Good luck.

I have experience in running a business. I've learned how to spot B.S. and ask the right questions. Thanks for the heads up all the same

This guy has entrusted you with a lot of money and you come here looking for advice? Ugh. Do your friend a favor and advise him to hire a professional money manager.

I've gone to many places looking for advice and input including money managers. Smart ass remarks don't do any good. If you read the post, I clearly stated that I was looking for someone that could assist in mentoring and teaching while I foot the bill. Something that could help out someone that is in need and needs ongoing income. Income that will not be found by going to a money manager with $100k and expecting to live off measly interest only returns.

Know where you're coming from. Big responsibility. If you blow any of the money with no return you have to live with that.

There's enormous talent here who can build world class sites, write amazing sales copy and SEO a site fairly quickly.

You're spending time doing research here which will help guide you toward the right answers.

I would use the forum as a resource for coaching and expertise in specific areas. If you find a reliable mentor (and I would put the question out there to the warriors), you'll save yourself time and money.

You don't have the problem that most people have, no money to pay for the basics so if you play your cards right you can have several business up and running to turn a profit.

Partnership is a shaky proposition. Who wants to partner? Think about it.

I was going through "new posts" and although I don't buy many WSO's, there's a guy who started his WSO in May and is still Sykping and emailing his customers to help them. Those are the kind of offers to look for. NOT quick easy money.

Build solid businesses for your friend the same as you would do for an offline businesses.

You say you can spot BS, however you have to be aware that some offers are not BS, they're a poser's attempt to make as much money as they can preying on people like you with no experience.

They may have had a few siccessful offers and their odds are up. This one may fail.

Basically, I would trust no one except your educated opinion. With more research you'll be able to figure out what area will give you short term results and what area you can look at long term and solid results, especially since your friend has a son.

You're right $100,000 given to an investment manager will result in meager results. You can start 4 solid businesses and one take a chance for immediate income with that money.

But, don't forget, if you trust other people's plans, you could easily end up wishing you passed and gave the money to a professional.

Don't ever forget, you are swimming with the sharks.

Investing your money properly might not give great returns but those returns will be bigger than if you lose the money online.

I hope it's not all of the money you are wanting to invest online -- I think that would be a big mistake. A little to start with, great. But you sure don't need to invest all that money you are talking about.

One of the keys to success online is YOU. How much action you take, how committed and driven you are and all the rest. Money doesn't buy you more money online. You have to learn and build up your skills like everyone else does. If it were as easy as just rocking up with a pocket full of money then everyone would be doing it. If you are serious about this then be prepared for a lot of hard work. A mentor can show you what to do and how to do it but you are still the one that has to do it and the return on your money would still be reliant on you and your skills. There are absolutely no guarantees online and that's why the other person recommended you invest the money in an investment fund or something that is a lot more likely to yield a return.
