How to get copyright for ebook

I'm a new member here and I want to ask about copyright in making ebook. Do I simply contact the local copyright office? Currently I live in Indonesia.
Second, how to protect our ebook in case of refund?

    Do you mean that local copyright office in Indonesia? If you search the Indonesia office, you are in the wrong place. Major members of this forum don't know about this, I think that you need to go Indonesia local forums for your inquiry.

        The best way to protect your eBook is to make it so amazing that you won't get refund requests. Now, of course, I know there will always be people who will do this occasionally just because they can. But, write a great book, offer a genuine 100% money back guarantee and stand by it 100%.

        It's not, I guess, what you wanted to hear, but it's my 2c.

    If you are referring to a simple copyright for your ebook, you can download one online and personalize the details like name of the ebook, your name, and the date of its publication. A simple copyright proviso within your ebook makes the world know that you own the absolute copyright to the content and the resources provided in there. I hope this helps.

    Just Google a copyright template and fill in your details,then add it to your ebook, but I must also agree with Will

    To protect your ebook from refunds, focus on giving high quality information at the right price. This doesn't mean pricing your ebook at $7 or creating a 100+ page book, but instead... find the right balance between price, value, and substance.

    I don't know the copyright laws of Indonesia, so I can't speak to those laws. In the US, you don't need to file any form, copyright is automatic to the creator of the Intellectual Property.

    You'll need to Google that for your country, or speak to a local lawyer who deals with Intellectual Property.

    To your question about protection, the reality is that there really is none. Yes, if someone copies and sells all your work, then you have a case. However, all that is needed is to rewrite your work in their own language, and the case is weak to non-existent.

    Worry about making your content awesome and what your readers/consumers want, and just drive forward from there.
