Are there any good sites with lots of traffic to sell PDF tutorials?
I made a technical tutorial, and posted it on Fiverr, but I have no faith in getting many sales from there. Besides, I'd like it to be automatic download.

  • You can sell it on Amazon

  • I don't see why you couldn't sell your tutorials wherever you'd like.

PDF is simply a file format.

Your tutorials could take the form of an ebook, a print on demand book, a digital course, a CD or DVD, a membership site, a regular website (protected), a power point presentation, a webinar . . . you name it.

Any selling marketplace could be your battleground.

    • I agree with you, this is was the main concept in Total Product Blueprint from Brendon Burchard, he teaches how to share your experience in life and package this experience into 12 products like books, ebooks, webinar, tele seminar, DVDs, audio CDs, membership sites......

so you can sell your knowledge at any format not just PDFs.

  • Hello everyone,

it is simple you can do it here on the warrior plus and also submit it to clickbank and clicksure or jvzoo.

And you can do your own search on google.

    Use your imagination and prosper.

    All the best Erwin.

  • I tried to put it up on Amazon. However, there is a big problem with that: images. The regular Kindle device does not support images (only Kindle Fire does). If I publish it there, I can already imagine a flood of critique coming--and rightfully so. And even with Kindle Fire, some formatting options that were present on my PDF file, got lost.

    • It does support images - they are just displayed in greyscale.

With Kindle the way to get your images to display correctly is to have them above/below text.

Kindle also hates tabs, bullet points and tables.

If you want to sell it as a PDF then sell from your website. Good places to advertise are in forum signatures on forums related to your niche. Another great place for advertising your technical guides is on Help Forums
  • You could sell it from your own website
  • eBay is another great option. Probably the best for anyone new to IM. You can sell it as an ebook on CD.

You just need to burn the PDF onto a CD. You can make it more appealing by using a simple HTML menu that opens automatically after inserting the disc. This allows you to link to the main product, to bonuses, special offers, affiliate offers and best of all your email opt-in form.

You can even outsource the CD burning part with services like Kunaki.

    • The kindle does support images, it just doesn't display them very clearly. My wife's latest kindle book has several images and they all look decent. You'll just need to redesign it a little for kindle format. I highly suggest Kindle.

You can set it up as automatic on fiverr. Just have your followup message as a link to your download page and a thank you. I personally know of one person who has sold over 5000 of an educational product on fiverr. 5000 x 5 =$15000 minus fees.

Ebay is pretty strict about this now. Additionally, many people view any of the ebook on CD listings as a gain feedback scheme and think they don't need to pay you. They are hoping you're just looking to exchange feedback.
  • Smashwords will distribute your product for sale to Amazon, iBooks, iPub and others.

You can also use the many document sharing sites -- many of these do allow you to sell your documents. Think Scribd.com

You can sell it from your own site using a payment processor like JVzoo or GetDPD, and then advertise it online to the most appropriate audiences. Both of these systems will allow you to sign up affiliates to also promote your product.

My suggestions are just barely scratching the surface of what you can do. Just do some research to find your best solution.
  • E-Junkie is the best place for what you're looking for. They even allow you to stamp the PDF with the name, surname, email address and transaction number of whoever downloads your PDF (the idea is to deter PDF piracy).

It's $5 a month for 100 downloads/month, so worth the money. And they take in all payment processors (Paypal, Google Checkout etc).
  • I got my book formatted for Kindle by someone on Fiverr and she did a very good job.
It's already selling on Amazon, albeit slowly.
I would not put it for sale on Fiverr though as there is a lot of theft going on there.
  • Depending on the topic .. you could run your own WSO and sell it right here on the Warrior Forum.

Just need to make it appealing and at a decent price point

    • Sorry to dig up an old thread but figured this was the best place to post it. I've written on ebook before and used smashwords, amazon and lulu along with scribd but creating a PDF is way easier than formatting it for those other platforms. So some people mention here that they can sell it through Fiverr, how?

I'm somewhat familiar with Fiverr in that people do small jobs for $5 or so but how would I be able to sell an ebook through there? I'm assuming I'd sell my ebook for $5. I'm not going to sell ebooks on IM, but tutorial PDFs for game design and graphic design. Thoughts? I'd like to try all possible avenues, but just want to know how it all works. Thanks!

    • What? Seriously... what does this have to do with anything? Are spammers really just signing up on this forum and paying 10.00 just post random things of no value? tsk tsk tsk.

Back to the point of this thread, there are a lot of places you can sell pdf's honestly the best thing for you to do in my opinion would be to draft up a sales letter buy a domain and start promoting it to see how well the copy converts. After you get 40.00 in sales, depending on how many people buy the product launch a WSO. Before you launch the WSO though get some people to review the ebook first. Ask some cool warriors that have been here for a while to give you their honest opinions on it.

Regardless man, take action. Do something! To get sales you gotta put in the work to sell regardless of where you sell it. the question to ask my friend is... WHY DO I WANT YOUR PDF?

Remember you're not selling the Pdf you're selling the benefits that it brings to the purchasers life.
  • You are asking the wrong question... People don't look to buy PDF downloads, they look to purchase "useful information within their area of interest", regardless of the format. - WSO's are delivered in PDF format daily.

If you have the "technical information" someone wants and if they cannot get it anywhere else, they will buy it from you. Are you looking for a sales channel or a delivery system? If you are looking for both, understand, they are not inclusive of each other.

You have posted it on fiverr, so you currently have a delivery system... now you need to market your product, driving traffic to your fiverr post, sales page, gig whatever, they are calling it.

If you write it they will come is a misnomer. You must now do things like start a blog, post in (your niche) related forums, write articles, e.g. , promote your product and link to the fivver gig.

A few hours on the warrior forum searching for; how to promote a product, or how to market my pdf or how to article promotion will no doubt give you plenty of insight.
