Netflix affiliate program... who doesn't have it yet???

Netflix pays $16 per free trial sign up.

It sounds good, but who (who would actually want it) doesn't already have it?

Think about it... EVERYBODY knows about Netflix. So if someone wanted it, wouldn't they already have it?

...Or is it still early enough that some people want it but just haven't signed up yet?

I have actually heard of it, I admit (for the first time, very recently, actually). But I don't really know what it is.

I don't know enough about it to be able to answer confidently, but my guess is "no, not necessarily".

If it's relevant, I freely admit that I'm considerably less computer-literate and online-savvy than "most people".

I've heard of it but don't know enough about it to sign up for it right now. I would say many people don't actually have it.

I have a few friends that just signed up for it. I know a lot of people who don't have it but have considered getting it and Hulu+ and then ditching cable.

I have Netflix and Hulu+ and got rid of Cable. Pretty good for me but not for everyone.

If you watch a decent amount of 'TV' entertainment you will go through all the good stuff on Netflix and Hulu after a few months because the rate they put new stuff on is slower than the rate you will watch. HOWEVER, I never had anything to watch on cable either because nothing good is ever on when I want to watch. So its the same problem but different.

I am never going back to cable though, I am significantly more satisfied with Netflix/Hulu combo than cable.

Regarding the affiliate offer, no, not everyone has it yet. It converts like wildfire. Sign up and promote. Good luck!

I didn't try it yet but I know it is all about watching TV online and they pay members per referral. I'll be investigating more...

I've used Netflix for about a year now and watch it all the time.

It's pretty essential when you have an app for it on your TV or blue-ray but still people don't go out and get it.

I promote it as an affiliate and continue to make the same amount of sales each month for campaigns I've set up 8 months ago.

I signed up few years back, loved the selection (found out USA gets ten times the amount of value out of it).

I started watching full series of TV shows and got a nice $60 (extra data use) charge on my internet bill. I closed my account the same day I got my internet bill.

I've had Netflix for over 2 years now, but I know quite a few people who actually didn't know (and still aren't sure) what it is and what it's all about.

What you're doing is here making a blanket statement. Just because it is popular with the people you know or connect with does not mean that "everyone" knows about it.

look at all the millions of subscribers to Directv, Dish, and mediacom and other cable companies, and there's your target market.

I think netflix is expanding globally so there could be ripe oppty for those over the pond.

Tons of people don't have. It's a great product to presell because they offer programming targeted to so many niches.

I have netflix and am in a fitness niche. They have some decent workouts which I tell readers about.

Get Netflix yourself and check out all the types of programming. Then craft presell messages for your niche.

I've had it since it was $21/mo back in the beginning. I loved it but recently had to cancel due to cuts in spending. I will get it back when I can. There are also young people growing up all the time that are subscribing to things that are new to them but ancient to us. It's definitely worth promoting.

I would imagine anyone that dumps their satellite TV or cable might be interested.

I know when I dumped Directv a few years ago I was pissed off enough to buy just about anything (besides satellite TV).

Go find all the pissed off people, trust me, they're looking for something new/better.

I have applied for the Netflix affiliate program several times and keep getting rejected. It's still a lucrative program but back when it started it was even better, I think like $20 per signup if I remember correctly. As for who's still signing up alot of people have shared accounts or give passwords to brothers, sisters, roomates, etc. As people move out of moms and dads house, move out of a place with roomates, etc people will have to get their own accounts. Also more and more people are dumping cable everyday and using netflix and youtube for their entertainment.

I've heard of Apple too, but that doesn't mean I have an iPhone/iPad/iPod.
It wasn't until I got an internet enabled TV, that I finally got Netflix.
Also don't forget, there are new people born everyday who don't know what netflix is and maybe when they get old enough and move away from home, they'll need their own account.

Quite a number of people in this thread have shown interest, so I don't think there is any shortage of potential customers.

When you consider how net-savvy Warriors are compared with normal people, I'd say the market is still wide open.

I notice Netflix themselves are still advertising, which could be taken as proof that it is still profitable for them to do so.
