AppSumo thoughts and suggestions

Hey all,

I've been thinking about running some promotions with AppSumo. I have the margins to work with, and am curious if other folks here have had success.

Any tips or suggestions on how to maximize an AppSumo promotion? Alternatively, reasons not to work with them?

    I'd like to know this as well, since I just went through their partnership application, but couldn't find a single place stating what's in it for them. I mean... how much does it cost for us to have them promoting our products? A flat fee? A percentage? If so.. how much?

    Edit: Looks like they take a somewhat big commision (%) and run payments through their own system, which is no good if you've already set up your own payment/membership system. I had hoped there was a 'flat fee way' to do this also.
