    Hi Mark,

It all depends on how you are going to promote. What method of advertising etc.

Give some more details about what you intend to do and you'll get lots of great advice!

Do not just go waste $500 on advertising without at least knowing the conversion rate of your page, the quality of the traffic, and how targeted your traffic is.

You also need to give a little bit more information on how you plan to promote them?

I would like to buy traffic. I don't have a website. I would like to avoid working on a blog as it's not my thing. It seems Adwords can get very expensive and I herd the margins are not there for return on investment?

If you are going to go with PPC for Clickbank products, Micosoft Adcentre (bing/yahoo) will be a better option than adwords. You can't direct link to Clickbank products on adwords, so you would need to build a website.

My best suggestion is to learn about PPC before you start blowing through your advertising budget. I'm neither a memeber or an affiliate, but I hear some good things about PPC coach, so it may be wise to start there.

If you take the time to really learn and understand it, you have a much better chance of succeeding.

        Good luck!

My advice is that you set up a website and focus on blogging and articles marketing rather than paid advertising. You can buy quality content for just 1$/100 words, written on any theme, around any keywords. Without quality content, you won't sell, so it's a necessity no matter how you look at things.

Use the money to have your own product created and have others sell it for you?

First you should have a general idea of what you want your product to do/teach. What problem is it going to solve?

Then you need to figure out what type of format would work best. A video course? An ebook? Some type of software?

Once you have your ideas, you need to come out with a specific outline of what needs to be included in the product. From there you can start looking for someone to outsource the work to. A good place to start would be elance or odesk.

You don't necessarily need a website, but it would be helpful. You can build a basic one with wordpress or outsource that too.

Promoting ClickBank product with PPC/PPV or other paid traffic without squeeze page is loose of money for me.
First of all most of the visitors will not buy product immediately when they land on sales page, they will rather search for more similar offer unless they want exactly that product.
If you still want to run ad for CB offer you need to understand well PPC advertising if you don't want to lose all your money and earn nothing.

Paid ads are a great way to go. But make sure to do your homework first.

Don't just jump in, waste money without tracking.

    Track your clicks.

That way, even if you don't get any money, you at least get data.

Before you spend a dime, first go through this forum and learn everything you can about internet marketing, clickbank and traffic. You need a solid education first. Second, you need to be dedicated and persevere as you probably will not make much if any money for the first 6 months. With a solid internet marketing education and dedication, I would then think about putting money into a campaign.

Put your money into building a list. That way you can promote different things to them in the future, whether affiliate products or your own or PLR.

The worst mistake you can make is to just send traffic to someone else's page. If they don't buy, you lose them. Get them on your list first.

Don't send traffic directly to the offer. Build a list. Offer them an ethical bribe
(bonus download, software, whatever) to buy from you.

You have to set yourself apart from the other affiliates. Why should they buy
from you and not directly from the merchant or somebody else? What makes
      YOU special?

Send out informative content to your list to help them with the buying decision.

Here's a novel thought. Actually USE the product so you can write an unbiased
review of it. And yeah, if you don't like the product, say so. Tell them you don't
really recommend it but if they still want to get it, give them an affiliate link
and tell them it IS an affiliate link.

They will more than appreciate your honesty.

Or, if you know a product that you feel is better, recommend THAT one
      instead.

There are way too many affiliate techniques to get into in this thread but
the above SHOULD get you started.

Bottom line: If you don't separate yourself from other affiliates, you won't
stand out and you won't make the optimum number of sales that you could.

My 2 cents for whatever they're worth.

    Hi Mark!

I always try and promote products I have used myself first and foremost!

This gives me a chance to demonstrate a crystal clear honest views from my follow up series of emails I send out to my subscribers.

Showing your subscribers the possibilities of what that product can do for them and getting them excited enough to want to take action works much better than just trying to convert cold traffic right away.

Marketing First = Easier Sales LATER ON IN YOUR SALES FUNNEL!

If you build a list first, funnel targeted traffic towards your sales funnel and improve conversions you are on the right track my friend.

Hope you take action and good luck!!!

    Mark,

The first thing you should do is to have your own website and being able to let people subscribe to a newsletter.

So step #1: Register your own domain name. Add make money online or work at home in it.

Step 2: Join Aweber.com or Getresponse.com and learn how to add a subscription form to your site to collect emails and follow up with them.

Step 3: Give them great value.

Step 4: Inside your emails, add your affiliate link so that when someone does click on it and decides to buy, you will earn commissions.

Before you do anything, I would recommend you read a book called:

How I made my first million on the internet: And how you can too.

    By Ewen Chia.

You can buy this on Amazon.com I think. It will do a better explanation then anyone can here on this forum.

This book will help you a whole lot. I recommend it.

Hey Mark, what kind of product are you trying to promote?

Try to do some research before you decide, like who need it, how this product can help people, why people need it and so on.

You can buy the product to see if this is a good or bad product, you don't buy the product and refund right? that's no good for you.

Are you trying to go for PPC? Adwords is indeed a expensive investment if you don't do it right.

So before you take any action, do more research on your target audience, and what to do to avoid losing money.

You can try Facebook Ad, it allows you target a very specific group of people. (Age, Sex, Locations, Habits and so on.) with cheap cost.

Make a detail plan of what you going to do, it will help you a lot.

Once you decide on the advertising method, stick with it until you make it work. Every traffic generations works, you just need to master them one by one.
