OTO's : Are You Familiar With This..?

Hey Warriors, Straight to the point here. I have a new product that I just created and want it to be my OTO (one time offer) after people optin to my list. My subscribers optin first, then are taken to my thank you page where it says - thanks and their freebie was just emailed to them. My question is, If I create a sales page for my OTO how can I link that to my thank you page? I want people to go to the thank you page then click on a link to my OTO OR be redirected automatically with a redirect script. I'm not too sure how to do this though.:confused: What are the steps?

For instance: When I create my sales page for the OTO, do I need an additional domain so my thank you page can link to that domain with the OTO on it?... Or when it comes to a redirect script, do I just need to create the sales page for the OTO and have the redirect script go to the sales page a few seconds after they see the thank you page? If you have some experience share your knowledge or PM me because any info on this would be great.

Hey - I think you are over-thinking this one. Just create the OTO salespage wherever you want, them make that URL your 'Thank You' page from the opt-in.

At the top of your OTO salespage you put something like, "before you get to whatever you opted into, check this out" and you go into your pitch. At the bottom of the page put a BUY button and a "No Thanks" link. The "No Thanks" link takes them to what would ordinarily be the TY page if there was no OTO.

Right on Bill, thank you.. I have that tendency... smh. I'm over here trying to get everything perfect. I'll put that to use. For the "Buy button" though, I use paypal so do they have a set up process thats straight forward? What do I need to do to get that set up?... I appreciate the reply BTW.

Yes, if you are going straight to Paypal for payment it's pretty straight forward. I'm sure if you do a search on Goog or Paypal you'll find what you need. I bet there are even some Youtube tutorials on it.

Yup, autoresponders have that option. That's a cool method Bill. I could use it in my list building efforts. Thanks.

For the PayPal button:

1. Login to your PayPal account
2. Click "Merchant Services"
3. Click "Website Payments Standard"
4. Click "Create Add To Cart Button"

From there you set the info on price etc and they'll give you the code to use.

  Awesome, thank you for the pay pal info CassAngel. Do you all have any thoughts on if the sales page should be sexy or straight to the point? Sexy meaning.. Decked out sales copy or straight to the point with the product image and a few bullet points on what they'll be getting when they purchase. Just thought I'd get some valued feedback. Bill is right.

Your OTO page should be your salespage. Putting an extra step in there and making people click an extra link will only water down your results.

The less steps the better.

Hi KL Influence!

You can add an image, video or whatever it is that makes someone click through to your sales page after they visit the thank-you page.

It deosn't have to be anything fancy just provide a strong enough reason for them to want to click through to your OTO.

Have a look around here at the many sections and you will get tons of ideas of what to do with your thank/OTO pages.

You only need to add a link on your thank you page that goes to your OTO.

You don't even need a different domain name.

After they subscribed, underneath the "thank you for subscribing" content, you should add a "CLICK HERE TO VIEW MY PRODUCT".

You can also do something else.

Instead of having a link to your OTO product, why not have an exit page appear after they click on the "x" to leave your "thank you" page.

There is a software that does this and it is called Exit Splash.

All i do is send my traffic to a OTO page and at the bottom of the page I have a "no thanks link"

On the next page it just says "please check your email for your free gift, videos etc"

I then deliver their free info within their first follow up

It`s that simple
