Don't Let PROCRASTINATION GET YOU!

I posted this as a reply in another thread and people responded to it pretty well so I figured I might as well share it on the Forum for other IMers like yourself that are on their way to the top...

You overcame odds and procrastination. You're on your way to making more money than you can spend.

Heed these words of advice...

When you get to the top. DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN YOUR COMFORT ZONE. IT WILL DESTROY YOUR BUSINESS and bring you tumbling down the mountain of success so fast that you will not be able to stop the momentum until you hit rock bottom.

You'll end up finding that getting back into YOUR MOTIVATED ZONE will be like trying to lift a freight train off your chest.

If you're in this cycle already or feel like you're headed there, make a commitment to BREAK IT TODAY! If you're not there, here's your chance to avoid it!

I've been there...

Before you know it, out of nowhere you start making all the money you dreamed about and you can't outspend what your bringing in!

To make matters worse, it comes in with such little effort that it builds this false sense of security that the money will never end and since you're at the point in your business where you're not doing much to earn it, you kick back and let the good times roll.

As time passes, you slowly lose that motivation to earn money because you've already done it. The first signs of procrastination kicking in are your sales slowly dropping and you get this little voice in the back of your head telling you, you should be doing something about it but you don't because your still making the money that has you living comfortably and you say to yourself "I'll FIGURE IT OUT TOMORROW".

Tomorrow turns into a week, then months then years and you find yourself with almost no cash and ZERO motivation to get shit done because you feel as if you shouldn't have to work that hard to earn your money.

NOW your close to where you first were when you started this Internet Marketing thing and your kicking yourself in the arse because know damn well you could have avoided it all if you had not PROCRASTINATED and put it off until tomorrow...

PROCRASTINATION is the DEVIL!

It's what stopped you from earning money in the first place and it will be the one to bring you down the success mountain if you get into your comfort zone.

As Netprenuers, we are definitely blessed that we get to dictate our lives the way we want, but on the flip side of this great freedom you have no one keeping tabs on the quality of hours you're putting into your business but yourself.

The way that I've learned to deal with my Procrastination is by making a plan for my coming week. I do this on Sundays.

I layout 4 hours days, with 2 hard core hours of super focused energy on things that will move my business forward and I keep my mind oiled up for the next project by reading at least an hour a day on some training whether it be via a blog, a new ebook or a warrior post.

Internet Marketing is evolving and so should you.

REMEMBER THIS: Watch your thoughts for they become words, watch your words for they become actions, WATCH YOUR ACTIONS FOR THEY BECOME HABITS, watch your habits for they become character, watch your character for it becomes your destiny!

AGAIN! DO NOT let go of a routine. It will be super hard to get back into the mind set of getting shit DONE and before you know it you're hitting rock bottom wishing you wouldn't of let things go!

My two cents...

It's true. Keeping the fire alive is how you make it in the long run. Don't let the success get to your head and failure to your heart - keep moving forward.

I know that is why I have some people in my team fail is because they are not consistent and they procrastinate their efforts to succeed. Build a successful business in order to be consistent.

There are many causes of procrastination, but complacency is one of the most dangerous and deceptive.

The way to overcome it is to always have a fresh goal waiting in the wings.

    All the best,

Hence, be careful how you think because your life is shaped by your thoughts.

If you feel like you are doing something from which one derives amusement and satisfaction, and thus putting off significant things to a later time, then you should be alarmed.

On a personal note, I always set my goals and pursue them whatever it takes.

    it is though!

One thing important for me to keep me strong throughout the day/week/month/years is to be sure that I'm doing something that we really want to do! If my motivation is to "get rich," its easy enough to do that, but I'll learn that it's not all that it's cracked up to be, and start to procrastinate. If, however, we're doing something because we really love it, it gives us the strength to keep a routine and to make real progress.

Procrastination is the mother of all evil. You know the sad fact, many marketers KNOW exactly what to do to become successful, but when they think about the work involved to get there, they procrastinate.

And, I can understand because we all get busy with other things, HOWEVER that is the biggest thing holding any business back. There is NO better feeling than overcoming procrastination and putting some wins under your belt, from there it becomes a habit to succeed and get things done You'll get use to it...
