Another scammer has resurfaced on the forum

This person scammed a number of warriors out of money by offering a service which they never got. They also tried to sell a report that they had bought rights to and stole the sales page from another warrior. The even bought the .net of the good warrior to make it look like their report.

Now the person is back with a new name. They have been asked if they are the scammer on their wso and they claim they are not because they were mentored by the scammer.

Here are some facts which I was given today.

The person is selling an almost similar report to the scammer.

The person domain name is exactly the same as the scammers business name.

The person's name is the same as the scammers paypal name.

The person is selling a report which is copyrighted with the scammers name.

The person domain name is owned by the scammer.

Anyone who was scammed by Adam Whitaker, he is back on the forum, and those who have outed him in the WSO are 100% correct or the new person is running WSO which he isn't allowed to do.

Thanks to the person who told me about this, and thanks to a good friend who told me about the copyright on the report.

Bev, I think you need to consider a career change to Internet marketing
    detective.

    Your business model is simple.

You investigate other marketers for marketers who want to be sure that
they're dealing with somebody who is reputable.

You charge a fee for this based on the amount of work you have to do to
    get the info.

I wonder if anybody actually does this. I think it could be a lucrative business
    model.

    Hi Bev,

I see your PI skills are getting better and better these days.

It is good of you to share this information with all of us, so thanks!

Unfortunately, many times people who have scammed others using the WSO section, and get caught, eventually make their way back into the forum to try it again. I can come up with a few, like this guy.

BUT, they keep getting flushed out by people like you, your sources, etc ...

One of these days they'll learn.

I posted to the guy's WSO with a PayPal screenshot from when I got ripped off by "Adam Whitaker"... his name (Matt West) is all over my payment.

I wonder how he could justify that.

          http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...html#post61451

If there is anyone really looking for press release info or more info on the Adam Whitaker rip-off, then check out the following thread where I posted some evidence of image theft against Adam Whitaker:

          http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...html#post61463

There are 2 awesome free resources there where I link off to the original creator of the rankings screenshot that was ripped off in Adam's ebook. He claims the rankings as his own, but they are really Christine O'Kelly's as verified by my email conversation with her.

Funny Bev - I flagged this as suspicious but though I was being overly suspicious.

Gotta wonder why someone would be so quick to jump in and recommend purchase of this WSO. These days, it's a good idea to vet the person running the WSO before supporting them. Sad, but true.

I know this method works from what I've heard from others.
            What method? Scamming members here?

Let's see how long this one remains open.

It turns out there is an off forum place that lists these creeps.

Name N Shame Wall| New Name N Shame Wall Bolg here to help people name individuals or companies who shammed and scammed them out of money, property, or intellectual property.

Is that ok to mention? I think its a great idea.

There is always danger in a "witch hunt" that an innocent person will be slammed because of a misunderstanding. Heaven knows most marketers have customers that call them a "scam" no matter how hard they try to please people. Who here has not been called a scam artist, rip off, trash vendor, etc?

Still, when someone is clearly ripping people off they should be exposed. That principal is alive and well in the real world with the sex offender registry. In that case however people were tried and convicted before posting. If I knew of a sex offender that wasn't convicted, but is still a danger in my opinion, would I warn my nieghbor? You bet I would.

Oh, come on. You have customers you deserve. It's as simple as that. There is always 2-5% of people who are hard to please, but this is a fringe that does not count. I would not worry about that. If you have more than that, more than 5%, I think you have a problem. And it's not the customers.

He is one of a few reasons I have been trying to stay away from the forum in the last week because I was spending too much money on WSO's and in the case of the money I lost to Adam Whitaker that was the largest amount I had spent and lost. I have however been scammed much larger amounts as well but from off other forums. So to have people like Bev and other sharp, on the ball members to look out for us, is great

I have taken to PM members in threads, where I can see they have made a purchase of a WSO, to ask them their opinion because I am now very cautious especially when I see so many testimonials, like on a sales page of some of those hot shot marketers, the ones with cars and money littered all over them and the testimonials go on for hours, that it starts to ring alarm bells. I got one tip off from a member from doing this, that saved me from wasting my money, so I will continue to make this sort of investigation as part of my 'due diligence'.

If I had been browsing the WSO's I might have seen his thread and felt it was familiar but I certainly wouldn't fall for it again because it has taught me a valuable lesson. Make sure there is someone who has made a purchase and if they are satisfied, they are the best form of checking you can have.

                                        Cheers
                                        Misty

It might be time for the "Wall of Shame". These people should be listed and exposed for the scum that they are. Good work Bev.

                                    Hi Bev. This is awesome.

I didn't think this sort of thing was allowed ('bashing' other 'Warriors') and I say it is high time that it is fine to warn people.

Yes, there is that chance that someone may be unfairly judged due to an innocent error, but when it is a whole group of victims, well, 'where there is smoke there is fire'.

I know you and I discussed another scammer who got away with thousands of Warrior dollars and who is now back with an alias.

I tried very hard to get someone to N/A the alias, but got no response and now I am very nervous because even without WSO, just the signature may lead to another loss for some unwary soul(s).

However, at least some of us know who she is and can warn individual people privately not to trust her. (don't forget) ...and for those of you who don't know, this rip off was in the thousands of dollars per person in some cases and many more serious implications than money.

Besides if she got N/A'd, what is to stop her from coming back yet again with yet another alias that we don't know.

So anyway, thanks for the good IPI work (internet private investigator) and sticking your neck out for the greater good! You rock.

I don't think it's silly to suggest people buy from those they KNOW, LIKE, and TRUST. What I would consider silly is buying something from somebody when you have no idea who they are just because they say they're making $200/day or whatever. AT A MINIMUM, it's your job as a consumer to do your own due dilligence.

That said, people's greed will continue to cloud their better judgement. So in that regard, I couldn't agree more that it's a blessing to have people such as Bev looking out for the well being of fellow Warriors. Because getting scammed sucks and it's bad for all Warriors when it happens here.

Yeah, that was weird. I didn't see this WSO or anything, but when this person first came to the forum, I posted a "hello" to him, asking him if he was the same person as a famous Contemporary Christian musician, whose music I love. He had the same, exact name as the Christian artist. Never got any kind of answer to that at all, which I thought was kind of odd. As a matter of fact, he never again came back to the thread, which he had started.

That was on the old forum. On this forum, he uses a variation of the name from the old forum.

            Thanks, Bev.

Good job, but actually I got a very prompt refund from this fellow for something that I found to be rather basic. Too basic for me. Within literally minutes of my request. Just a few days ago.

But I am not trying to say that this denies what you say. Just my recent personal experience.

On the other hand, yesterday I filed a dispute with my CC company for some sham mentoring service and today I filed a dispute with Paypal. So yes, there are people in the WSO forum you are better off avoiding.

I was going to say the same thing. People hire PIs all the time, and for some
            of the stupidest things too.

Honestly, the only way to find out if there is a market for this is do a survey.
Do the market research and see what you get back.

I've seen crazier services offered online so who knows?

I took a quick peek at the Name em and Shame em Wall in the earlier post and I think it's long overdue. I hope it won't be abused by folks out for revenge or to bad mouth their competition, but I've long said honest, unsuspecting people who trust the people they're handing over money to deserve to know if the 'vendor' has already fleeced others.

Yes, it's wise to buy from those you "know, like and trust", but there's lotsa new folks coming online every day who don't know anybody, never mind liking and trusting them.

I say as long as you have facts to back it up (like Bev did) the offender's name should be spread virally...as far and as fast as possible!

The strange thing is - this is an old thread that has been resurrected BUT I just read the first line of the post about the person posting in all WSOs. So, I went and looked and there actually is someone doing that!

Weird....I hadn't looked at the date of the post at first or I wouldn't have even gone to look - but there is someone who is posting in WSO threads that they are scams. I don't think they are even reading them, because one was in a woman's WSO and they posted that HE scammed them.

Not sure what the chances of that happening are.....

      Marie

EDIT: OK, it was the other post I saw by Bev that had the warning about the spammer on the WSO's - so you can ignore this post! At least now I don't feel like I have entered some kind of time warp!! I just didn't check which thread I had originally read

Adam Whitaker is a want to be con artist. He has plagiarized a number of publications in order to make himself seem more educated in the marketing field. In reality Adam is a fraud. Upon getting ripped of by this so called marketing whiz I have been made aware of some great information I would love to share.
Adam is a college drop out who steals other people's publications in an effort to launch his generic marketing company. He has never had a client in the 2 years he has "run" his business. He brags about ripping of the unknowing and "stupid" consumer. I would highly advice you contact Adam directly as he has ripped you off and those were his intentions to begin with. Below is some contact information so that the people that have been conned by this person may retrieve restitution. I wish you the best of luck.
