Hostgator 301 directs....Help please!

Hi Guys,

I just recently started using Hostgator and set up a new website

All the urls I have been splashing about have been http://www. com and they have been working fine until earlier this evening after hostgator went down and now since then, I can only access my site with http:// .com.

It would take me ages to change all the urls out there and on my site for images etc.

I know I could set up a 301 redirect, but I am confused with the settings

Can anyone advise please.

    I believe you can use Cpanel to change how your page is viewed i.e. www. or not.

    Graham, the fact that www URLs aren't showing up is related to the DNS entries for the domain name, not your hosting. Make sure that there is a CNAME record for 'www' in your DNS configuration.

    Greek, maybe, but that's the place you should START looking for problems.

    P.S.
    If you want to PM me the domain name, I can look at the headers that are being generated and maybe give you a better idea of what is going on.
