A Different Perspective To Keyword Research

If you want at least some different perspective, more - or less - timely data, and most importantly, a different way to tap into the stream of billions & billions of actual searches, consider going "outside the box".

Try different search engines. Do some of your keyword research on Bing (you'll need to sign up for a free Adcenter account): Bing - Keyword Research Tool.

Even Youtube has a keyword engine that uses a different database: https://ads.youtube.com/keyword_tool

And speaking of different perspectives, Yahoo has a cool 'trends' toolset that you can be used for looking at top trends and analysis of them. Check out Yahoo Clues at: Yahoo! Search Clues

Don't forget some of the 'other' keyword idea tools like Google Trends

If you really care about the benefit from search engine optimization then don't waste your time trying new things.

Since Google has 60% share in search market, so only a fool will run behind other search engine.

And as far as keywords research tools are concerned there are plenty of keywords research tools available online, You can try Alexa, which can give you actual scenario of what people are searching about a particular website rather than only running behind adwords keywords research tools, but eventually you have to take your decision from Google keywords research tools.

In your question you have mentioned You Tube keywords research tools, I was wondering if you don't know that YouTube also belongs to Google so what more you can expect, just the same old thing in a new package.

If you want keywords that convert, look at Amazon's Best Sellers List. Enter the product keyword and get suggestions. These are "end of the buying cycle" keywords and the visitor has already heard about it. Most of the traffic are looking for reasons to buy.

It could be free shipping, a sale, some benefits of the product, some social proof, etc.

Find the Long Tail keyword and put up a free Squidoo Lens, or similar, to test before you purchase a domain and build a site.

Christmas is around the corner and Amazon Products CONVERT! They will buy other products besides the one your are targeting. Timing is perfect for affiliates, so build your sites now!

      Happy Holidays to all!

Actually, I'd say it's completely the opposite. Putting all of your "eggs in one basket" is a bad, bad idea.

This is quite wrong - many people make a killing from Bing and Yahoo alone.
Why - because there is less competition.

There's some good keywords on Bing that people have overlooked (with the markets I've researched)

I have to say the youtube keyword search gave me some great long tail keywords in the past

Not only Google, both Yahoo and Bing can send traffic that has good convertion rate.

Now people can making money with Youtube without top ranking at Google. However, better a Youtube video get top ranking at Google for targeted keywords.
