DAMMM!! how should I make my blog "different" !!!... everything is already available on net

Hi all..

I have a decent understanding of SEO and online marketing, all the competition, keyword, authority, page rank, content is king etc

I had set up my blog a year back and I wrote on various topics like adwords adsense entrepreneurship etc. I had decent knowledge on these topics but I am obviously not an authority result no traffic. Hence I deleted my blog completely..

I feel that what every I know is already available on net, so how can my blog be different and if its similar content how will my blog rank on google.

How can I make my blog "DIFFERENT" for the rest.. coz thats the best way to get visitors and rank on google

    Yuvraj,

Just because all of the information is out there doesn't mean you cannot contribute.....

Surely you must have your take on these topics...

    Your way of doing things...

    Your OPINIONS...

Its these things that make your posts unique and get people to build relationships with.

You just need to find your way of putting the content out there.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris

Been there, done that. I had a nice little site for a high count keyword that survived all the Google updates but just wasn't going anywhere. The site stayed between pages 45-100 for a year until I did just a few little things that not many sites had. Local weather and a clock and one interactive app for that niche. This niche was weight loss so I put a body fat app on the front page. Three simple things moved the site to page 3 in one week. So to be different and have that one little edge think out of the box and just be different with simple things.

      Hope that helps

Hey man, I think one of the big mistakes we sometimes can make in the IM space is taking for granted that "Since I already know this stuff everyone else does too". We all start somewhere and at one time it was all new to you too.

Even something as simple as say getting a domain, getting hosting, and pointing a nameserver seems like common knowledge to most of us, but to the right person that's golden information if they are brand new.

Shoot, I was on the phone with a 10k coaching client once and her first question was "How do I figure out this FTP stuff!" Sure, common knowledge available anywhere but not in her mind.

I would just identify your ideal prospect and write to them. Then just be real and be yourself, people appreciate that and it doesn't take any whiz bang tricks. YOU are what makes it different.

    Dear Yuvraj Pratap,
I know what you are saying-you think there are thousands of similar blogs out there all dealing in the same information..BUT, as previous posters have said, this does not matter, it is how you present your blog, the connections you make with people that matters, information is only useful if it is made meaningful to people-if you want traffic, you have to fight for it by being bold, original and sincere. People will always respond to good information presented well. Best of luck to us all!

All about value. Find what people are wanting to know and write about it. Simply have a look around some Facebook groups, and forums - see what people are asking then provide solution to their problems.

stop trying to re-invent the wheel. There is only on you on this planet and thus only one person with ur voice. Do you know how many people have sung "baby baby baby ooohh" a little white boi comes out of nowhere and sings the same thing and he goes multi-platinum!!!

Its not what you write but how you write it. Your knowledge on SEO clearly is far from decent as this is the most basic of basic peice on info someone with the tiniest SEO knowledge knows.

Its not even about so much what you writing but getting it out there. SEO is now 50/50 onpage and offpage so you dont have to do much backlinking anymore. And Keyword density has dissappeared. Now its just similar words

    Focus on one word, value.

Every blog has a certain intrinsic value to it. Some blogs have a high instrinsic value (like Pat Flynn), other blogs have a low instrinsic value... like 90% of the blogs you see marketers on here pushing.

The way I view it is like this. All niches are full of garbage, and garbage creates gaps. Doesn't matter how saturated a niche is, you can always weasel your way in if you're smart enough. So the real question becomes... are you smart enough? =]

You can provide the same info just do it differently. Just because the info is out their does not mean everyone knows how to find it.

Coffee's been sold for hundreds of years.

Starbuck's comes along, adds a few twists, make the experience enjoyable and BaZinga!

But wait . . . there's a second lesson with Starbucks . . . you can't expect the same thing to be popular for all eternity . . . you need to continually stay on top of what the customer wants because buyers are a fickle bunch.

I agree with Chris. Opinions. Personality. That's what sets you apart. Instead of trying to appease the masses with generic instructional content, gain fans of your ideas by not bein a fence sitter.

There are hundreds or thousands of Internet marketing blogs but very few have some decent personality injected into them. Don't be boring - show them who you are and what you believe in and it'll make people want to come read (even those who disagree).

Try offering something of value for free. Write a short e-book or something. People love free stuff and it can help build a following, especially if it's reasonable quality. When people recieve something of value at no cost it creates some buzz and they will tell other people. You can also use this as a way to build an email list.

More than anything though, if you offer information of value, in a well written manner with hinesty and respect for your readers ithey will come.

I know this is kind of corny but you gotta just find a way to put more of your personality into your blog. You'd be surprised how well it'll work I mean who can can be you better than you.

If your blog post stimulates an image in your mind that is just not you, likely you’ve been trying to model your approach after someone else or you've been using work produced by someone else. Sharing your ideas and interjecting your personality into the material is a great way to stand out. I know 50+ blogs about photography but I love 2-3 of them even if I can get the same info on any of them. These 2-3 blogs stand out to me because of the personality that radiates from the author's writing. Make your readers LOVE You!
