I have used that before, but it is tough to get the back cover to stand out from the background, and it puts the front spine in the wrong place... Other than that, it is a decent little tool.

I know it's not the best tool, but I think it's the best FREE tool, a thank will help!

I also knew about photoshop, but photoshop is a paid program so it won't be free any ways thank to all for your opinions!

software may be great, but you can create your own ebook covers easily enough with powerpoint which is already on most computers. Simply get up a blank new page, click insert and import your own picture, add text with the text box and save it as a .JPG file. It can then be uploaded to amazon with your ebook. Of course, that is a flat picture so it might not suit an ebook being sold on your own website.

Nice tool, as long as it works, it will help someone....

But as someone else has already said, this is just a 3D generator, it does not design the eCover for you.

That's what really sets peoples eCovers apart. You could have access to all the free eCover generators in the world, but without a nice cover design, it will still look unprofessional.

So, I guess you have to make a business decision:

1. Use free online generator and design the cover yourself, and end up with a bad representation of your product (if your not good at designing)

2. Hire an eCover designer, who does it for a living, and make you and your product look professional.

I honestly would do #1, because I am a designer.

But most should do #2.

I have seen so many bad eCover designs out there, and if I see a product with a bad eCover design, I almost ALWAYS associate that with the quality of the product.

And if I think this way, I am sure that many others think this way, if they examine their thinking honestly, when it comes to purchasing products.

Heck, there have been numerous experiments about this for offline products. Such as packaging in grocery stores, and almost always the better looking package wins hands down, unless the product is a name brand, and already known for quality.

So, I believe that the data "screams loudly" to always put your best foot forward when presenting your product.

I know that's an old say but it's still true today....
