$47 for eBook Collection?

Okay so I'm making my product. Basically it consists of 8 separate eBooks each between 15-100 pages in length and one 10-part video training series.

I value this product highly because it contains all there is to know about the niche. Several hundred pages in length and 10 videos. I value it at over $300-400 but have decided to sell it for $47.

Is this too much or too little?

  • Depends what niche. In some niches, like Internet Marketing, you can get away with charging much more than in something like health and fitness where higher priced downloadable products are not the norm. (I remember hearing Russell Brunson mention that in a teleseminar and a live event I went to). But one formula that always seems to work is over-delivering... especially in a niche where people aren't used to seeing hyped up sales letters offering $400 worth of product for $47. In Internet Marketing, we kind of expect deals like that. In most other niches, people usually eat that stuff up. I think it sounds like excellent value. As long as it's not a ridiculous claim like $75,000 worth of product for $47. Model your sales letter after an existing successful sales letter and you should be fine. Save (or find) some stuff for a good OTO though.

I recall hearing some pricing strategies on a teleseminar with Ryan Deiss. It was a few years ago, and it was on pricing membership sites. It seems successful price points, in non-Internet Marketing niches were either $17 or $27 a month. Then it jumped to $77 or $97 a month. Nothing in between. Theory being, for lower priced stuff, you get more people willing to jump on it because of the lower price. At the higher price, you get fewer, but more serious people, and the higher price makes up for the smaller volume.

Maybe check on Clickbank (if you haven't already) and see what successful products in your niche are selling for and price yours accordingly.

If your eBook contains good quality information then it is fine.
