Facebook Fanpages

Hi I wanted to create a facebook fanpage...and I was thinking to advertise it with facebook ads...can i create a page using the name of a hobyy like:
pilates, yoga, table tennis ? I dont want to spend a lot of money sending traffic there and then getting my page disabled, stolen or blocked etc...

Also do I have to use my personal account to create fanpages? and using facebook ads? I dont want that my family and friends see what im doing with my online business...

    Yes but you run the risk of it taken off you as this is a generic title and after reaching a certain number of fans Facebook will automatically take control of the page and make ita community page. Therefore if you intend on keeping it use something more specific.

    Yes you will need a personal profile in order to create a fan page and to use FB ads. However, this doesn't need to be your main personal profile. I run ads through another account just in case FB ban the profile for whatever reason so I will not lose my main personal profile page.

      I have just had my new page made a community page. Could you explain what you mean by facebook taking it off me? Does that mean that I can't monetise it? Bit confused!

        Once you reach a particular number of fans Facebook will take over that page. If it's a community page and it's a generic topic then FB will assume full control over the content published on that page. If you want to prevent this from happening change the catergory and ensure the topic is not generic.

    Your family and friends do not see any of that activity that you do as a page admin. You are commenting as a page, liking as a page and etc. they don't see that at all. And of course they don't see your advertising and money spending activity. Plus you have the advantage of inviting everybody on your friends list to become a fan.

    One last tip, if you plan spending money on Facebook ads, there's a coupon somewhere, you'll find it (I bought one on fiverr) that gives 50$ only to new advertisers (within 2 weeks after you sign up for an advertiser account).

    You create a FB page through your FB main account, your friends and family will not see your FB page as long as you don't put the FB page url into your FB profile and also never post any posts of the FB page into wall of your FB profile.

    Or you can create a new FB account then create FB page.

    You can buy FB ads as many as you want for the FB page, FB will not ban nor block you as long as you obey FB rules.
