Which is better for conversions? 1 offer or 3 offers?

Does having too many products on a page affect conversions? Let's say I am in the weight loss niche and I found 3 different products that solve the problem of losing weight but each offers slightly different approaches to losing the weight. Would a person be overwhelmed with three different options or would it be better to just focus on one product?

It'd be better with 3 products to choose from because they will have a higher chance (3x higher) of finding what they are looking for.

If you work it right and do a comparison, you'll be able to avoid any confusion, and instead offer a value to them by giving them a was to gauge 3 plans against each other.

This is if I understood the question correctly =)

Maybe I look at it wrong but if I write my copy correctly .. the only product they will want is the ONE I offer.

I'd definitely go for ONE product. The most difficult part of a sale is the mental battle in the customer's head- "to buy or not to buy." With one product, you can win that battle by simply convincing them to buy. With three products, you add another element into the fight. The potential customer then has to fight the "to buy or not to buy" fight about each of the competing offers. It makes it A LOT easier to throw in the towel and decide to "do more research" before buying anything.

Three options of the same product, but with different "levels"/price-points and has proven to be a viable strategy, but three different products can do more harm than good.

    Best of luck to you!

You explained this very well. Offering more products in the said niche may make the buyer confused on which to purchase and also may effect your credibility as you are first standing behind that first product, but then start throwing other offers at them . It makes it look as if you are just trying to make a sale (which of course you are) but convincing them that your first product is the "bees knees" and then throwing another in the mix, you could lose sales as well as lose those that are "on the fence"... BUT, I believe if the product has something to do with the first, in your case stacking one diet product with another to get quicker results, then I wouldn't see anything wrong with it.

Studies have shown that the more choice a consumer is given , the less likely they will buy . As it than becomes difficult for them to decide . However three products are not too much .

I would try and choose the best or what u believe is the best of the three and target that one . Or do a test , set up a page touting one of the products and a page touting all three . See where the better conversions come from . Remember not to do just one test . Test over a period to better account for exceptions

1 product because if you offered 3 they will get too confused to buy, that's what i think.
