Mailchimp Autoresponder - 4 Day Cash Machine - Can You Do This?

Hi Guys,

So my company has Mailchimp and I am trying to use a modified 4 Day Cash Machine autoresponder. I am wondering if you can modify mailchimps merge tags to automatically produce the days.

So for example...

The auto responder is configured to run for 4 days after immediate sign up. I want to know if we can automatically set those days rather than having to manually replace those days (not ideal at all lol).

PS: Mailchimp sent me to a page here: PHP: date - Manual but I am still not 100% on this.

Kind Regards,
Steve.

Just to make this a little more clear...

If I was to send an email saying this offer ends Saturday, 4 days from now for example, if a customer signs up tomorrow then I want it to say Sunday. Do you think that's possible?

    Appreciate any advice.

    Thanks!

I think promotions of that nature are prohibited by Mailchimp's terms of service, which I suggest you read very carefully, given the large number of Warriors who have suddenly lost their accounts and lists there for breaching them, Steve. This post is a starting-point for further information.

As far as I'm aware you can't send autoresponse emails to individual list memebrs at set intervals after they sign up.

You can send to segments of your list or your entire list. But whatever you send out will be a blanket mail to your selected segments. I think mailchimp is more designed for newsletters/updates rather than a set course of emails that goes out to people individually as and when they sign up.

However I could very well be wrong and would be interested to see how this is done (if it can be done).

      Hmm...

I will speak to one of their support once they get online. The store is an eCommerce store and does not use Affiliate promotions in the slightest.

But thank you for the tips and suggestions. Seeing as it's a 10% special offer, in wondering if this has the same impact as affiliates have tried using this.

As of now this store send 1 email per week about a product, so I am hoping this 4 day special offer doesn't cross any boundaries.

May have to rethink of another strategy...

I wonder if this might help you?

It shows you how to use a script along with wishlist member that shows a constant daily countdown for a preset period of time after they join. 7 days left to take advantage of this special offer, 3 days left, etc. You would have to add 4 days worth of material into a free membership site but that might help to increase conversions if they have multiple reasons to be exposed to your offer.

        Hope this helps
