How to get rid of pop-ups and pop-unders on Chrome?

Hey, anyone has experience with getting rid of pop-ups and pop-unders? They make me sometimes really mad.

I have not found any working blocker, also in Chrome´s privacy settings I have chosen not to allow pop-ups, it does not work either.

Is there some other way to get rid of them than unistalling Chrome and installing it again?

    This is a reply to my quite an old thread, but there was just one way to get rid of pop-ups for me (maybe someone who is searching the net will find it helpful):

    I uninstalled Chrome, downloaded it again and all pop-ups and pop-unders were gone.
