Don't Like Clickbank...How to Attract Amazon Affiliates to My Books

As the title states, I don't want to put my books on Clickbank. Instead, I have created physical books that are available at Amazon (and soon to be available on Kindle).

I realize that it is easier to find affiliates via. Clickbank than to find affiliates for Amazon books due to higher payouts.

So, how can I attract affiliates to promote my Amazon books? I assume that many affiliates are 'pushing' many other books that are priced the same as mine through their Amazon Associate program. So then, why not mine?

How can I get Amazon Affiliates to become aware of my product thus helping me sell books? Is it just a matter of article marketing? Creating a website?

I'd appreciate some ways to 'market' to amazon affiliates.

Thanks

    Really?

I promote books and CD's through Amazon, but not because I want to earn 4% of $8/$10 on them: only as a way of increasing my monthly sales volume so that I can qualify to earn 8%/9% instead of 4% when I sell items for $1,000.

Apologies for being unhelpful, and I wish you good luck with it, but I'd advise you to make sure, if you find some, that they're ways of marketing books to Amazon affiliates, not just ways of marketing "products" to Amazon affiliates. "Attracting Amazon affiliates" to such low commission items, which are also very low-priced items, if you can do it at all, is going to be a whole different ball-game from attracting typical ClickBank affiliates. Some affiliates with existing targeted lists will promote products for prices as low as $7, but that's typically for 75%/100% commissions on them. You see the huge difference, of course?

With apologies for the dispiriting tone, I suspect a Big Strategic Rethink may be more helpful to you than seeking answers to the exact question you're asking, here.

    • Alexa,

Your dispiriting tone was trumped by your practical advice.

My line of thinking, was, that since affiliates are using low priced items as a 'portal' to earning commission on high priced items, why not do it via. my books? This way, I have a chance on selling my books, as well, affiliates have a chance on making commission off my products or other high priced ones.

I am completely aware of the fact that clickbank commissions are much higher, and, that commission on my $10 books are low. I was simply hoping that, since affiliates were going this route anyhow, why not find a way to send them via. my products.

  • Give extra bonus or voucher to affiliates who sell a minimum number of units you requested. This can stimulates affiliates to promote your Amazon book.
