Easiest Way to Put Together Simple Sales Video?

Hey guys, I'm putting together a squeeze page, and I want to put a video on it explaining the reasons why they need to sign up.

However, I'm a loss as to how to make a video. I've seen some that are just basically the words that are being spoken on screen. They seem professional enough, but do these actually work? I also see a lot were they do drawing animations, but I've no idea where to start making these.

Does anyone have any experience with these two ideas or others and how to utilize them effectively?

You can record your self talking direct to camera or you can create simple PowerPoint slides and record your voice and the screen using Camtasia Studio and Bam, your video is ready. Or you can order a video from Fiverr.com

I hope that helps. Thank you.

You can do a video on your camcorder and then upload to YouTube.

Once that is loaded, you can then add it to your website.

Just because others are using it, does not mean that you have to do it too.

You can only add TEXT to your opt in page and this will get you the same or probable even better results then adding a video.

In terms of your sales page where you will convert people into buyers, you don't have to put a video. Again, text only has done well in the past and will in the future. You can upload a pic of yourself to show people that you are a real person. This will put them at ease knowing that you are real and not someone who is trying to hide behind a website.

I would start with writing a script. Since all you are doing is getting people to subscribe, I would keep it short, but with some impact - perhaps addressing a certain powerful aspect of the information they will get.

Once your script is done, then you can better asses if you will be able to do the video yourself, or get somebody else to do it for you. If your product/series is already waiting to go, you don't want to get hung up with learning how to make a video, nor do you want something that will look unprofessional.

Check out fiverr or elance and be willing to spend a $100 bucks or so. At least this way, your conversions can start as soon as you begin sending traffic.

Just do a short clip of your freebie. It is so easy to do screen capture there is no need to pay for it. You might end up doing 100s of videos. Best to learn how to do it yourself.

Video can have a powerful effect but you should test it against non video pages to make sure. It doesn't always help.

As far as video sales pages, just check out how many sales pages of established marketers use them. That should give you your answer.

You should show yourself on the video. This makes a difference. Hopefully you have a good camcorder. You can get a good one from the Walmart for $100.

My experience with this is show your mug! It builds trust with your visitor. That'll definitely increase conversions as opposed to a regular video with slides. Those do work, but they have to grab the person's attention VERY quickly or else you will lose them.

As for the script, put yourself in the shoes of your visitor. Why should they care/listen/signup?

I've used Animoto before to create a flashy looking video quickly, and they give you the music too.

If you're feeling really tricky you can take the finished video and throw it into imovie or screencast or whatever and edit out the animoto logo at the end.

Normally, keynote (or ppt) will get you there, and jing is a great free tool.

You only get one shot at life - make it awesome.

Everyone else also gets just one crack at it - help make theirs awesome too... or, politely step out of their way.
