So as a Canadian I loath American holidays as I see my traffic and sales both crawl down to half of what it should be... All while it is a typical business day for myself.

The upside?

BLACK FRIDAY!

I make one simple change to the upsell pages of my sales funnel and watch the huge boost in conversions and nearly double my sales for this day.

I simply add a graphical header to my upsell pages advertising it as a black friday promotion!

you could also use this method on your regular sales pages above where you justify the price of your product.

It takes two second and you will see a boost in sales! This method works for boxing day and any other legit reason to have a sale.

  • This is a technique that I use myself here and there for a burst of sales from my list: an occasional 24-hour discount here and there.

    Your list appreciates it, you get a nice spike in sales, and everybody's happy.

      Yeah its converting like crazy so far and its only 10:40AM... As of now, my upsell page has been converting at 70% while normal conversion rates are between 35%-40%

    This is a great idea.

    I used to send special offers to my list back in 2008-2011 every time a holiday came up and can tell you that this strategy does work.

    You also need to have a responsive list.

    Yep, by making it a Black Friday sale it keeps it current and gives it some scarcity. You should think about other things you could do to your page year-round to create that same type of scarcity on the page.
