How to handle a small jobs website????

I Started a small jobs website but i dont know how to get sellers on my website. I dont want to invest more than $60 right now.

I figured out that i need sellers and buyers.

Both the things are pretty confusing for me... How do i get them to my website.. I can Get buyers to my website, but for that i need some people to post their Jobs(gigs) on my website. I reduced my Commision to just 15% of the sale, and i'm allowing 1 free featured gig to anybody who posts more than 10 gigs, but then too i'm not happy with what I'm getting for the hardwork I do. Do anybody have any idea how to get sellers on my website.. plzzz your suggestions will be very helpful for me.

Have you tried building a contact list of potential sellers that could go on your website? You need to find a way to build up a viable list of people who fit your market for those that would advertise gigs on your site and then promote to them. You could do this through email, direct mail, cold calling or whatever.

For your model, it seems you have two kinds of markets you need to go after in order to be successful. Those who would list on your site and those who would consume that information. You need to market to both of them however you need the sellers before you can market to the people who would use their services.

I would structure it in a way that lets these sellers know of a particular launch date for the website so you aren’t trying to get sellers on the site at the same time you are marketing to the buyers.

Again your most important asset will be having contact information for sellers that allows you to market your website and potential benefits of listing a job there.

Hope that points you in the right direction,
