Paradigm Shifts - Money Online - Screw Ups - Blunders and Traffic ... Say What?

Fellow Warriors... As i am about to Launch a Major Project I would love to look into the dynamics of the Warrior Mind, Business Launches and Identifying Paradigm shifts in the IM Space...

Disclaimer: Read at your Own Risk and Post a Reply if You Dare

I was just reading a post that Kenster put up about Black Cards and Ferrari's and how it applies to our Industry the IM Niche as a whole and the shifts taking place. As you age and just as I have grown older [age 44 exactly] do you become more Driven for the Materialism, the Recognition or the Silent Lifestyle?

While in my 20's i used the Fake it til you make it... Over spent, didn't save, worked hard, played harder and was constantly working on the Fake Image. [Is that you today?]

While in my 30's i took more Risk, Failed a whole lot more and became more interested in ARRIVING... Being a Success Story! [After Personal Recognition]

Now in my 40's especially the last 5 years my whole IM business has taken a huge turn, We launch really Big Ideas, Have Huge Failures and Enjoy Massive Successes. The biggest difference is how we approach our Internet Business from day to day. In fact the more Underground we go the easier and more enjoyable our Business Becomes. [Newbies You Should Do the Same] The IM niche is taken up by a so called few Big Names, but the Guys Really Killing it, no one has a Clue who they are for the Most Part!

The Industry is seeing a Huge Paradigm Shift right now Online. IMHO you are going to see some Big Home Runs by Unheard of people over the next 3 years, WHY?

The Actual Shift is On
- Testing and Metrics is 10X easier today than just 2 years ago, or 5 years ago.
- Social Media is on the scene which allows for Big Brand Awareness FAST!
- New Tools are being introduced every day to make your IM Business easier
- Newbies are Entering the Space at a Neck Braking Pace and Leaving even Faster
- Old School Fundamentals still apply to Business anywhere, Especially IM Space
- Those with True Business Acumen are finding holes in every niche and plugging them with their products, ideas and concepts.
- Tried and True online practices still Rule the Money and He who rules the money makes the rules.
- Our society is a society of I am entitled. Great that means the Hard Works Win! [ Buy our Stuff]
- Multiple Streams of available Paid Traffic [Means Google can Kiss Our Ass]
- Paying the Price and HARD ASS WORK plain just RULE! [16 Hour Days Easy]

- You can Launch most Product Ideas or Concepts in 14 Days or Less [Thanks Jeff Walker] whether you like Jeff or Not, his education was Cheap and Spot On.

- Paid Traffic is Cheap, Easy and You can build a List in any IM Niche Fast! Days and Weeks, not Months and Years.

With that being said what do you see going on in the IM space right now today that is creating this Shift. Do you believe their is an actual shift going on in the market place right now? Is the IM arena completely Saturated beyond belief or is the space wide open.

What do fellow Warriors Think?

I Personally think the DOT COM BOOM is in it's Infancy stage and approaching lift off, you could not be in a better place at a better time. Someone reading this right now is in the process of creating an IM Legacy...

Is the Boom on Yes or No?

What do fellow Warriors Think?

The boom is (apparently) on for the best part of 12 years I'm following IM...
    How do you define "boom"?
There seem to be at least 2 major variables that I can identify:
    - How is the rest of the economy doing (the background).
    - How is the individual "looking" at the business environment doing in his/her if any, enterprise.

For me, (been in IM on and off for past 6 years) I think there is more awareness on brand, and ethics, and building a real sustainable business. Of course, once I realized it was about brand loyalty and started focusing on that, then that's when my business took off. I tried the IM way for the first year and it sucked. When I brought in my traditional marketing/advertising, and strategy experience, that's when I began making money in IM. I think the "start-up" mentality is starting to mesh into the IM world, and I think that is where the boom is occurring. There are no jobs, so you create one for yourself, and (i'm 39) the younger generations want more freedom than money, so I think IM is just beginning to become more growth and legitimate.

    My two cents.

    Be well,
    Lane

      Stan,
When there is a large economic downturn legacies are born. Like FedEx, CNN, UPS, Exxon the list is endless. I have to think applying basic business principles online is just now starting to "Catch On" world wide. Not to mention it's a whole lot easier today than 12 years ago wouldn't you agree? Now i am not a huge fan of Social Media, in Fact "I HATE FACEBOOK" Social Media is not a real business IMHO. THE economic Internet Boom is Definitely On. Thanks for your Input.

      Lane,

You have so hit the nail on the head and thanks for sharing. The "IM WAY" is not the way to build a real sustainable long term income and business online. You on the other hand pointed out something of valuable significance, traditional marketing/advertising. I am a huge fan of Laser Targeted Customer Acquisition and Metrics.

The fact that there are no jobs IMHO is due to the Socialism Society that is being created... OBAMA is a great example. The most incredible thing that gets overlooked and I would encourage you to look into it, bringing Target Customers from OFFLINE to ONLINE and CONVERTING them. That market is so untapped and almost never discussed here in the forum. One of the most Under-Rated strategies in the IM arena IMHO. Thanks for taking the time to reply Lane, it was a pleasure my friend!

      Regards,
      Robert

Very well laid out post and ideas! Just to clarify though...in my post I wasn't stating that IMers are getting more materialistic...just posing the question whether entrepreneurs in our industry are more materialistic and flashy that similarly successful entrepreneurs in non IM businesses.

    But great post here!
