Send traffic to blog or to squeeze page?

Hello dear warriors,

Currently I have one blog with 5 high quality posts. Every single post is linked to my squeeze page.

Also I have one squeeze page where I capture emails.

Now which is the most effective way to get visitors?

1) Involving in guest blogging and drive traffic to the squeeze page?

2)Involving in guest blogging and drive traffic to blog and also build links to it as soon as my content is of high value. (Do I have chances to get passive traffic from google with only 5 posts?)

Thank you,
Zouras

If you send them to your squeeze page and they sign up you've captured their email address and can market to them indefinitely. If they get sent to the blog they might never come back and you've lost them forever.

Squeeze page every time for me.

I would say then the traffic to both. However, if you are allowed only one link then it maybe best to send traffic from a guest post to your blog.

Reason being, you are getting 'blog readers' to you site so you need to build your credibility even more and by giving them more valuable information before you ask for their email address.

This way, when they opt in you will have a list of highly targeted prospects who already trust you since the relationship building started from the content you gave them in your blog posts.

Hello zourkas! How are you? I would strongly recommend driving targeted traffic to your

squeeze page. From your squeeze page you will get conversions then you could email

your list about your blog. I hope you find this information useful.

    Kind Regards

    Hey Zouras,

Personally I would always send the traffic from guest blogging to your squeeze page.

    Always be building your list...

In my personal experience my Squeeze page convert at a much better rate than my blog pop up....so hence I always direct traffic to my squeeze pages.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris

Drive traffic to squeeze pages from guest posts...

Drive traffic to blogs posts from your emails...

Get them to share your content...

People come back to your blog and you get ranked higher in Google...

Now you get free organic traffic from Search engines and traffic from guest blogging

this is a WIN WIN plan. It works too as we have done this in several niches and apon many hours and weeks testing, this works the best. If done correctly it can overload your servers with traffic too. Once you get the ball rolling that ball rolling turns into a snowball effect.

    @zourkas,

It depends on where the traffic is coming from and how you pre-frame them before they click on your link. Here are couple of examples for each one of the cases....

    1. Let say you have a guest post on some other website in your niche and the link says something like "Article by Zourkas from yoursite.com" in this case you should send the traffic to your content pages to gain trust and build credibility (of course the content on your site has to be good) and in the sidebar of your blog post and at the end of the post have an optin form with a super awesome freebie.

Since they read your content on some other site, clicked on your link and also got some great content from your blog they are much more likely to optin...

    2. Let say you have a great article on some other website and the headline is something like "6 mistakes people make while {your niche - dieting/parenting/running}" and you just list the mistakes that people make while {your niche} and at the end of the article you can say something like "Click here to get free report that explains how you can avoid doing these same mistakes by performing 2 simple rituals everyday and they shouldn't take more than 10 minutes"

In this case what you are doing is giving them some great content by telling them the mistakes that people usually make and now they can figure out how to avoid them and increase their likelihood of success but you are going an extra mile by also showing them on how to avoid those mistakes in a free report and all they have to do is just optin to your list to get it...

Some people also call it the cliffhanger technique...

In case one I would rather link to some good piece of content on my site and in case two I would link directly to my site.

Sending to squeeze/landing page is the best way to start the sales process. Timing is everything for your prospect.

Here is how I see the sales process beginning.

Marketing and Traffic to Landing Page/Squeeze Page then contact and send to webinar or website for more information.

If you are guest blogging i would send the traffic back to your blog

Since you are getting traffic from a blog it would be more effective to send the traffic back to a
    blog

Your blog should pre sell people before they enter your list from your blog so they are usually far
more responsive when building a list from your blog

Most other traffic methods you can link direct to your blog but guest posting i would always
    link back to your blog

I would say Squeeze Page! It has been proven if you give a first time visitor too many options when they visit your site - they will leave and do nothing.

By sending them to a squeeze page there should be 1 option, which is to opt in. Also you should be giving away a FREE gift - and lets face it, who doesn't like free stuff right

You can know this confidently only by split-testing. But if you're thinking of it in terms of "what will produce the biggest number of opt-ins", it isn't necessarily the optimal question at all, Zouras.

no no, send all traffic to squeeze page.

Stop and think about it for second. Do you want a person coming to your blog just once, or hopiing on your list, liking your stuff and you being able to send that 1 person to your blog over and over.

Squeeze page, always, if you are in this online marketing game and not creating a list, you are not in this game to win and do well. Should always be trying to send all your traffic to a squeeze page first. Build list first, then at the click of a button you have an instant traffic source. Works like gangbuster too.

It really depends on what your trying to do.

    a) provide them with good content or you are simply trying to pre sell them on something then I would say blog. But then again you can use a plugin like pop up domination and still get their email without having to send them away from your blog

    b) trying to strictly make sales or train the users then I would suggest using a landing page. Just make sure you have something of value to offer for the subscription!
