Yes. I think more or less everyone has this experience. Until you figure out how exactly you are selling and repeating which method will make the money flow steady and predictable, you might have to experience this over and over.

So, find what works and rinse and repeat. That's it.

Well, I am selling hundreds of books on kindle (I dabbled around a bit before I got serious about making money. I posted around a hundred books on kindle from my writing collection and now I make around $30 a month. I figured I would leverage the numbers game < the more you add, the more likely you are to succeed>) and my new one is a site on Asperger's, and I have been selling my book for about a month on there. On my site I am thinking about maybe opening up a mailing list, adding some links, and also adding a store side (for my book and affiliate products so I can leverage more products so I can make more sales).

Yeah for sure as I always felt like giving up trying to make money online when I was a newbie. However I kept learning all the while and applied what I learned which enabled me to move forward and succeed.

Here's some friendly advice: Believe In Yourself And Never Ever Quit!

And here's another great tip: Post some free classified ads in the "small biz ads" section promoting your website on Craigslist > Cities - Craigslist receives a great deal of visitors each day

It happens to me now but I am working on my mind so it happens less and less. People don't understand that belief is a key component to our success. If we believe we will keep doing things that will lead to our success. If we stop believing then we will stop doing the things that bring us closer to the result we seek.

Keep believing you will succeed and eventually the action you take based on the belief will start to show in results.

I started doing this in my empower network business and for the first week I was discouraged. But after listening to some inspirational messages, I kept doing the small daily tasks and for the past few days have been getting some greta results.

So keep on believing and succeeding.

So now you know that your product can sell... ramp up the traffic. If your product is priced high enough, start driving some paid traffic to it and see if you can maintain a positive ROI!

Actually, I have only had my site up since September, and I only put my book on there in October. Originally, I signed up for the freebies, but then I started reading the forum over the summer and became determined to find mind niche and start earning money! So it has not been a year of marketing, just a year of being on the forum .

I can definitely relate to that! The day I was hit by Penguin on 24th April 2012, I said to myself that it was the END...

up until I checked my CB account to see, somehow, if any poor soul had visited my miserable Google Sniper site and made a purchase. SUPRISE!!!!

So much motivation can come from getting your first sale! I remember when I got my first "click" from an Adsense banner I had posted on my website. I was beside myself with joy!
Even now, 5 years later I get excited when I see the evidence of $$ in my account or a new referral that has just signed up to a program I am promoting.

I am thinking of maybe adding a few sections to my site. Maybe I will add a resource section that will have affiliate products on it, and also have a section for my ebook. I got it almost completed, now I just need to create a squeeze page for an email list, and add a few links to a link page. Then I might add an article DB in the future. So I plan on expanding on this success!

Great job. Now it's time to replicate. Try to find out more information about the buyer. How did they find your site? Did they search for certain keywords? Was this their first visit?

All of my marketing now is based on organic search, and a particular keyword I was targeting. I am going to try and diversify and use pintrest and email marketing to keep those customers. I might consider facebook as well.

I just set up my mailing list, catalog, link list, and my ebook (same page, just a link on my new homepage). In the future, I will set up an article database, where I can place older content from my email news letter.

I still remember my first sale of a Clickbank product back like 2 years ago.

I certainly came along a really long journey and have been pretty successful, but yeah without that first sale that happened back then I would probably have quit.

So keep that momentum going and take confidence in your self that this first sale can be multiplied 10,100,1000 times. It will happen if you put your hard work in.

*Update: I made my second sales! I made a strategic linkbuilding blitzkrieg for the past few days, and I have been reaping the rewards. I am now building more content for my site so I can diversify beyond my book and move into affiliate commissions and ads eventually. I appreciate all the help from this forum. I never though I would be earning my own dollars through my own site, but now I am. Thank you guys!

I had a website from where I was selling SEnuke XCr Service. After 6 months of website launching, there was no selling, I was planning to give up the site. Congrats mate, hopefully this provides the increased sense of motivation you need to keep building on a site which is now beginning to really crown, before you know it you'll have a sale a day, then a couple.

Take care of your list and before you know it promoting the right products you'll be receiving multiple sales per hour, then the money will really start to show, just make sure that you make your list and client base your main focus, take care of them and the money will follow.
