How do you get your audience to buy from you?

Hey guys,

Got a question here.

I already have built my list and got a product offer.

However, sales are not reflecting yet.

I was just wondering what does it take to actually fill in the gap of getting your readers to start coming up with money to buy from you.

It seems like when it comes to money and buying something, it's a whole different ballgame.

Did you create the product and then ask your list to buy it?

Or did you ask your list what THEY wanted, then create and sell them that...

The second is the better option.

Could you elaborate more on "built my list and have a product offer" - how old is the list?
How many emails have you sent to your list before presenting them with your paid offer?
Did you give them some kind of free info to opt-in?
Did you build a relationship with them so they trust you?
Also, how big is the list?

If you want help with this, you should provide more info like this.

        Hey man,

My list is going 3,000 strong.

I have a free email series. In it, I ask what were their some of the pain points and quite a few bothered to reply me.

That's the thing: Yes I've sent emails to my list, mostly directing them to blog posts or guest posts. I'm starting to think I have yet to train them, or structure them to buying something from me... and I'm becoming some freebie machine.

        What do you think?

I like this thinking a lot.

With my first product... it went a little bit differently. I had a problem, so I created a product that solved that problem. I figured other people would have that problem too, so I created a site centered around solving that specific problem.

Now, the people who sign up to my list are people who specifically want that problem solved, and every time I e-mail them, they are reminded that they still have the problem, and come back to purchase my product!

Hey, yeah it's the second option. I talk to them, they tell me about a certain problem and I built my product around that.

It wasn't specifically asking them, "Hey I'm gonna make this, will you pay me when it's done" kind of question though...

Do you have a relationship with your list?

There is no point trying to sell them something if they don't know WHO you are... I'm sure they get plenty of those emails, and you know where they end up?

    The trash file!

Hey, well yeah, some of them do reply to the emails and I reply them back.

1- does your list TRUST you?

2- do you spam inboxes just to make a quick sale?

3- do you provide 'free' content?

Those are the biggest factors I look at when I am writing email campaigns.

      1) How do I gauge trust? As far as I know I was engaging them by replying all their emails, but I'm learning it takes more than that.

      2) Nah. I never spam. I've recommended a few affiliate products before though.

      3) Yep!

Well, it depends to the format of your ad. Take note that marketing is also a science. Focus on how your ad will attract customers. Your website must be appealing and you must put clear call to actions wherein they can put down their email ad.
