Quite new to Aweber.......

Lets say I have an email broadcast which tells people about updates to my site blah blah blah.....

....but it also has a product on there from Amazon....it it possible to add an Amazon Affiliate link to an Aweber email? Ive tried messing about with the image/text codes that Amazon provides for the product so that they will get through to Amazon with my affiliate link but nothing seems to be working?

Sure it is, and you can always simply link it through the text of your broadcast.

Are you sure about that? I just read through the TOS and couldn't find that anywhere?

No, not 100% certain, and I also can't now find the sentence I was looking for in Amazon's TOS! I'm wondering whether this has recently changed, and will investigate further. With apologies, I've deleted my post above, at least for the moment, in case I was mistaken, so as not to risk misinforming anyone.

Thanks very much for asking, and drawing this to my attention!

    Hi Arran

Yes, Margaret is right... you can enter it as a URL link in your email.

Re your point on Amazon link for emails; you need to pick out your embedded unique affiliate link within the image/text code...just copy the url between the ".." e.g. "http://youramazonaffiliatecode.com".

    Hope that helps?

    Llwyddiant!

Try to use cloaking link or url shorter!

That is definitely against their TOS. The only reason I know is because I was reading it earlier this morning. You're not allowed to use any redirects.

I received an aweber newsletter the other day where someone had their amazon affiliate link but it was broken up into 2 lines and the first part was blue hyperlink and 2nd was just text. I am not sure if that's due to fact they did word wrap on their newsletter but you better test it to be sure it's clickable.

The bolded text says to me that you cannot include links in emails...

    6. Upon our request, you will provide us with written certification that you have complied with this Section 6. We will specify the form of, and content required in, that certification in our request. Thanks very much, Jackie. I think this is what I was referring to above, but I don't actually recognize this exact wording. Either it's changed since I saw it, or I misremembered it a little (always quite likely!).
