Did you have any good result in traffic with blog commenting?

Hello guys,

Did you have success with blog commenting ? Numbers are welcome...!!

I am working on blog commenting and I would like to know how much traffic did you get from blog commentings within 30 days and the opt-in rate of this traffic source.

Thank you,
Zouras

I'm not sure what you'd consider success, but it's definitely something that I try to do as much as possible. You can get lucky and leave a post on a high traffic blog that, over time, can give you hundreds of visitors.

I've posted this elsewhere. Should be relevant here:

If you're commenting for traffic just set up Google Alerts to notify you of new posts that include your niche keywords. If you stumble across a popular blog and get your comment approved you can see a pretty nice surge of traffic.

If you've got Scrapebox you can take this to the next level by importing hundreds (even thousands) of niche-related keywords and having it only display Google search results from the past 24 hours. You can then check the PR of the blogs, Alexa rankings, etc, to help identify potentially high traffic blogs.

All of that said, make sure you're leaving GOOD comments that you'd approve on your own blogs. I always stop and think to myself "Would I approve this on my own blog?" before pressing the post button
    .

I am new at this as you will see and I have a question related to this: What is the correct way to comment on blogs and in forums to get backlinks? This is what I did recently. Tell me if it is spammy.

    'Comment by: My name
My comment: I made it useful because I did like the post which I did read.
    Mysite.com'

Was this wrong? And if so how do I get a backlink if I do not mention my site? Is it spam only if you include a link to a page? It was a very popular site and they did post the comment but it did not have a link, only the name of my site. And does this work differently on different sites? I generally only comment on blogs in my niche.

Please be as specific as you can on how you leave comments. Please talk to me as if I know nothing about the internet or internet marketing so I can understand you!
    Thanks!

The most important part of blog commenting is, never try to spam the blog for a backlink. If you can leave a useful comment, you can very well get a backlink through the name section of the comment section. Never use keyword in the name field. It declares that you are looking for backlink only, nothing else.

If your one of the first people to comment on a high traffic blog with a high value comment it can do wonders for you. I remember being the first commenter on a high traffic blog brought a few 100 people to my page within a hour.

Nice. Did you use Scrapebox or Google Alerts? As i posted earlier you can find a TON of recent posts using SB, check the PR of the blog, Alexa ranking, etc.
