Need Serious Help, Feeling Lost, Please?

Hey Guys....

I've never made much at all with affiliate income. Did reasonably okay with Adsense, that's how I started way early when Google Adsense launched in the market. By using a blogger account to earn enough to be able to start a wordpress blog. I've been in to this industry for 10+ years now, since 14 years of age. Learned designing, then content writing, SEO, programming in many languages and finally IM now.

While, I've always performed great in college, institutions and among friends. But I don't seem to be making good money at all. Rather, I tried doing jobs, after doing a couple jobs. I feel like its not my cup of tea. I do not want to do jobs anymore, I feel so since sometime now. My last job was of project management in a gaming/fb apps company.

I've always wanted to do my own business. Always. I realize, basically I want to become an entrepreneur. Just to share, I am not a native English speaker. I am not even writing in perfect English right now....maybe because am feeling too low right now. I learned English on my own.

So what do I really want to do? I do not have any affiliate experience. I want to pursue entrepreneurship. Having enough income streams that I do not have to worry about my monthly expenses. Maybe I've not done such a good of job in last 10 years. Maybe I intentionally wanted to become jack of all (which I still think is right in my case) so that I could understand every part of this industry and how it works.

I feel like to keep on writing and sharing my thoughts. Because I feel WF has some, in fact many talented people and hardworking too who're earning good money online. Especially after I've lost money in stocks and forex, I am seriously trying to take care of my career and future. I do not want to do programming or just keep on doing some tasks like I used to do. In fact, when you do many things, you can't even focus at sharpening up programming skills or keeping them alive.

How to be an entrepreneur in your opinion? How to earn at least 4 figures a month?

Thank you for listening.

You need to make more money per person + you need to learn and master a powerful evergreen traffic strategy and have a incredibly valuable high profitable funnel. With leverage and residual built in. Plus you need incredible mentors that will walk you through every step...

Thank you for your replies. I usually hate people who are demotivating but I understand sometimes in life, you really suffer through that feeling.

I feel I need a mentor, someone who's already done it. You're right james. @Alex, yes I did that. Maybe will do more.

But I guess I need to know what do I have to do precisely? Affiliate, Adsense... i mean there are lots of things. In fact, I've seen people do great flipping sites. Maybe at times when you focus at learning too many skills and understanding every bit of it. You probably lack at marketings aspects of business...even strategies and I agree, one has to outsource..

Everything you say in this comment contradicts the original post you made. You're looking for a strategy to make money here, but earlier you were talking about becoming an Entrepreneur. There's a massive difference.

If you truly want to immerse yourself into marketing and have aspirations of becoming an entrepreneur, you have two choices.

      1) Go to forums and learn what you can about making money online. You will start off slow and maybe after a couple of years you'll get there. It's certainly a possibility.

      2) You invest in a platform/mentor that can provide you with everything you talk about in your original comment. You learn from people who have a system in place to teach people how to set up a real online business. Not just scattered tactics solely focused on you selling crappy products, and most certainly not teaching you about useless adsense.

The game is changing and I see a lot of old strategies been thrown about like they're gold. They're not. Creating a real online business starts with the foundation. Most of what you learn here, or any other forum, will be mainly focused on tactics. You will learn how to get traffic - useful for sure but traffic is useless and a big, big time rip off if you don't know how to market effectively.

If you went to University, you wouldn't expect to be able to walk out after a couple of months and be an expert in your field, would you? You'd immerse yourself in the subject. You'd start from the very beginning and work your way through right up until you are an expert on that subject.

Marketing online is no different. You must think of marketing like you would a university degree. Sure, many will tell you to just read the forum and use what you learn, but most of it is just the same thing masquerading as something different and unique. It's not.

Go back out now and take a look at every thread and you'll clearly see no one is talking about setting up a real sustainable online business, and yet, you will be told to follow along and learn as much as you can.

If your goal is to make money, you're in the right place. There are some really good threads teaching you how to do just that with many different tactics.

If, however, you want to learn how entrepreneurs set up their businesses and teach other people (students) how to do the same, well my friend, you're in the wrong place.

Many people on here will say that this forum helped them become entrepreneurs, and that's fine, but we're not talking about a select few, we're talking about giving yourself the best possible chance.

My suggestion: Get very clear what you "really" want before you begin - and make damn sure whatever you spend your time on has a long term value that is sustainable and predictable.

I wish you all the best.

You mention that you're a proficient programmer in multiple languages, so why not start coding software?

I know first-hand how much money can be made by developing & selling software - and its certainly nothing to sneeze at.

Some of the people I'm working alongside are bringing in upwards of $15k PER WEEK.

That is far from 'chump change' dude.. Definitely something to think about getting in to. Or at least trying it.

First of all you have to see what people are buying online, then, how to sell them the products they want and beat your competitors.

You have to make a combination: do what you know and what you like, and at the same time, do what the public wants.

You may believe that the public should want many things, but the public doesn’t care about your opinion. You have to get adapted to what the internet users want, and never teach them what they should like to buy.

These are the basic principals that helped me stop wasting my time and my money with what doesn't work online.

Thank you. I will most definitely contact you. PM's are temporarily not working for me. I'll check that out. Seems like it is because I've not participated in a long time here. I am on DP mostly.

Before giving out any answers, I want to think myself. I like communication. I've been writing some content jobs this week.... imagine at $2/article just to get things rolling. Btw, just to update, I've left my job a couple days ago. So you can guess the situation.
I do not plan to get another job now. But I don't want to be just a writer, opening a writing unit however would be a different story altogether. I've done quite some SEO in early era of internet boom. I like SEO but don't want to keep doing the leg work and rather strategize things. Maybe because you can't do everything on your own...you have to outsource too.

    ..... thinking!

Following a proven system until you see success it defiantly that fastest way to make money online. Just be sure to stick to ONE METHOD - many people hop skip and jump from one program to the next, and never make money.

Like in the previous post said - learn how to drive traffic to your website well, then be able to make high converting pages so you can build your list

    Hope this helps

    Hi Humble guy,

There are some good resources in the war room, but sometimes more information isn't what you need. Sounds like you need a specific direction. I suggest a mentor. Also, rather than making the goal of earning 4 figures a month, focus on getting one positive customer review for your product or service. Get it posted somewhere credible like on a thread in this forum or on Elance, Guru or Facebook.

Then, focus on making enough to keep from going back to a "real job," take it one step at a time...you'll get to 4 figures much faster if you take your time getting there and do it right.

Any suggestions on learning how to get A LOT of traffic by understanding something that I don't as of yet?

Yes, I have a profile at Freelance, Elance and have always got a 5 star rating. But it ain't working out for me these days well. Not at all. I think maybe because I've been doing jobs myself too. And by trying to focus at different kind of jobs, trying to become and entrepreneur too at the same time. I just can't focus at getting more freelancing jobs, because I am out of practice too with respect to my skills.

I need direction and a little more insight knowledge too.

This post I made back in the day has helped out a lot of people who have been in your shoes:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...t-started.html

It's very important to get absolutely clarity on what you want first, then figure out the how. Once you do that, figure out the why. Without these 3 essential components it will be a very tough road (the road is already tough, why make it harder right?).

As mentioned in post #14 above, it's very important that you focus on building a business and not just the abundance of money-makers that are out there.

I used to feel the way you do. Until i asked myself:

"If a company was going to pay me $100,000/year to work for them, would I do it?"

And obviously, my answer was.... YES! (hence the fact why i'm in college right now for computer networking)

Anyway, marketing anything online is tough. If you want to make $4k a month, get ready to invest some cash to get targeted visitors to your site everyday. Plus the price of your product will have to be significant. People will buy high priced products, the question is, will you develop the marketing skills to sell it to them?

I guess till date, I've never considered to sell products/service. Always seemed to be very competitive and made more sense to have blogs, ad revenue and such. While that's not bad either BUT I guess am missing out a lot of things.

This thread is proving to be helpful. But there feels to be some levels of knowledge disconnection on how to make it work. With blogs, you pretty much know how to make it work. But doing affiliate marketing rather the right way is difficult.

How should one start to make this happen? Ideas?

It sounds like you have the skills to do many different things. I would start by choosing one skill you like and freelancing for immediate needs. This will help you cover expenses while you build your own business on another level.

After you figure out how many hours you need to work every week to cover regular monthly expenses as a freelancer, figure out how many hours you have left to put into your own internet marketing business. It doesn't matter if it's 5 hours a week or 50, just put in consistent time.

Pick one marketing method, develop a plan, block out everything else, focus on your plan and finish it. I suggest a plan you can repeat with a second website or second niche if it's successful. I also suggest only making your plan 30-90 days. This is a very short period of time and will allow you to stay focused.

The keys, take the stress off yourself by freelancing to cover your expenses, be willing to make a few sacrifices temporarily (mainly your time) and take serious action.

A few other bits of advice.....

NO MATTER WHAT NICHE OR STRATEGY.......BUILD A LIST FROM DAY 1!!!!!!

    ALWAYS OVER DELIVER

Learn, Learn and Learn some more

Master one marketing strategy at a time

Hope this helps and I wish you all the best!

This is HUGE. Pick a plan, and stick with, block out everything else. Took me a long time to develop enough self-discipline to actually do this, but it is the difference between success and failure online.

Clarity is a HUGE part of IM success. It's so simple when you know it -- and darn difficult when you don't! I owe my mentors a world of thanks for bringing this clarity.

IM is actually pretty simple: you can sell only one of two things:

    1. Products
    2. Services

    That's it!

And selling products or services online happens in the same basic way for everyone, no matter what they're selling:

    Traffic > Opt-in page > Autoresponder series (or e-zine) > Sales page

That's it! It's just that simple. (We IMers tend to overcomplicate things.)

But no matter what your niche is, or whether you're selling a product or a service, do you know what your business model is?

A business model is the framework or skeleton of your business. Essentially there are three types of online business models:

    1. Membership-based model

A membership-based business model allows you to build a community of people (your members) who are as passionate about your subject as you are. Your membership fees can be monthly or annual, but either way, you're building recurring, passive income.

There are a lot of resources and information out there to help you build a membership-based business if you're interested in doing this.

    2. Product-based model

Selling products allows you to maximize your time and effort by selling items over and over again. This can be hard goods or it can be information products. Information marketing is it's own business model under the product-based model. Information marketing allows you to take your brain to the bank by creating a product ONCE based on what you know and selling it over and over again.

    3. Service-based model

Selling services can be great for 1) generating quick cash (as in the case of article writing or video producing) and 2) establishing your expertise and getting testimonials.

(Affiliate marketing falls under both models. You can choose to market either products or services as an affiliate.)

However, in the long run, your goal should be to offer services at a PREMIUM. The biggest advantage of IM is LEVERAGE. You're able to leverage your time, money and expertise exponentially online. We all have just 24 hours each day. Time to get ruthless about what you expect for those hours you spend in IM each day. Expect more of yourself and more from your business friends, clients, partners, etc.

What results are you getting for those hours you spend online each day? Ultimately, your services should be at the bottom of your funnel and cost the most since they involve your time and personal attention. (We all have a limited amount of time each day.)

The fun (and confusion) comes in with all of the endless mix-and-match possibilities of the above models. If you're just starting or still struggling to make money, keep it simple:

    Pick just ONE!

    1. Pick ONE niche. (Something you're interested in and know something about.)

    2. Pick ONE target market for your product or service. (Who will buy what you're offering? The more specific you are, the more you narrow it down, the more successful you'll be.)

    3. Pick ONE business model.

Now that you're clear about what business you're in, FOCUS! (And stop buying any info not related to your niche and target market, period!)

    F -- Follow
    O -- One
    C -- Course
    U -- Until
    S -- Successful

And remember: build a list, Build a List, BUILD A LIST!

In IM, it's easy to put the cart before the horse. Take a deep breath, step back and consider what type of business you REALLY want. Don't worry about getting traffic or buying that expensive traffic product until you know 1) what your business model is, 2) what niche you're in and 3) WHO your target market is!

Successful business people will tell you that MARKETING is more than half the effort that's needed for success anyway. So pick a niche, target market and business model. Then spend most of your time and effort marketing it.

If you DON'T have a solid plan or system, THAT'S when it's hard. A good system will shave YEARS (and save you big $$$) off of your learning curve

That's why I recommend investing in at least one good, comprehensive IM course (or mentor who will give you such a system) instead of jumping from one $37 e-book to the next. A lot of people here complain about not being able to make any money. But neither are they willing to invest in their business. (Buying a random bunch of $37 e-books doesn't count.)

The best thing I ever did was invest in a comprehensive IM course aimed at REAL business owners, not just other IM wannabes. Yes it was $1500. (It's no longer available.) But it was truly some of the best A-Z IM info I ever bought. Everything else I've learned (from the $37 e-books) since has simply been plugged into this system.

Get a solid plan or system and then work the plan!

    Hope this helps!

      Michelle
Nightengale, You've done a great job here. For one minute I thought I was reading an e-book. You did not only clarify IM but simplified its concept. The lucky beginners that would come across this thread will learn a ton and their journey would be shorter as they get a clear head from this post. Internet Marketing in my opinion is a school and patient students reaps the reward. Thank You!

    Hi

Basically to cut a long story short I would highly recommend that you join an affiliate training site called Wealthy Affiliate.

WA will give you step-by-step training which will help you to get to where you want to be with your affiliate business providing you follow the training and put in the work

    @nightengale

    Very detailed, very helpful. Thanks!

    @WhosThatGuru

I agree with you, there might be very lucrative jobs. Yes, I was skillful when I was learning C#, Java, .NET, ASP.NET, and lastly PHP. I've made projects in all of these languages but as times passes by and you don't keep refreshing your skills it becomes a huge problem.

If you have any idea, need anything done or can share what exactly do they do which helps them to make such a healthy amount.

My focus is towards doing online business. Now I know that's a VERY WIDE and senseless statement to many. I understand and respect that.

    @Everyone -

I am sure all of you gurus are making something online, maybe some might be making really very good returns. What do you think how much money is needed to intelligently use it together for avoiding A LOT of leg work yourself?

Would someone be willing to share their case studies? How they made it up here? I'd be seeking advice rather than inspiration. As inspiration helps to an extent but when you see no clear headed ways, it frustrates you more as you don't really know what you're doing wrong. At the same time making sure you don't keep on FOCUSING at something that might not work at all. For that you need to have a strong backbone.

Am sure it's a matter of becoming successful once and you become much more confident and practically experience it on how to make this happen.

Just a little note to everyone who contribute here, thank you and I appreciate all your comments. They are not merely comments but some are actually diamonds and gold.

I need to do what I'm already doing for a bit.... but all of these things are engraving in my mind. I'll surely use these gems and when (not if )someday I succeed, a lot of my success will owe to you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

This thread is one of my favorite thread ever!!! - I am happy about those newbie's who will learn from this too. While I am not a newbie, but i'd always love to learn and consider there are many things out there I don't know yet. So practically still a newbie... Thanks a ton!

To me it sounds like you know enough, you just need to put it into practice.

A lot of the questions or issues are having can be resolved by trial and error.

Find something, start it up, try it out. If you hit a bump, search the forums. If you're still stuck, you can make a post.

Otherwise, you have a strong arsenal of skills that can get you pretty far, you just need to put it into effect.

    Give it a shot?

It will take me a bit of time though, maybe more than a bit. But I really want to pursue this on the long term too. Hope my situation allows me to stick to this, no matter what.

Bro, honestly if you want that fast cash. I would recommend you to do CPA, think about it in everything you do you're going to have to buy, nothing in life is free... Plus, they don't have to buy your offer, you get them to sign up for a form and you get paid. It's that easy and simple. Do paid traffic, it's not hard. Better ROI.

You need to figure out what you want to do, then DO IT!

I started doing offline marketing, then started to have some success. I then supplemented that business by creating products. I still have a handful of offline clients that pay me to do their marketing, but I have had so much success as a product creator, I have focused more on that side and on building my coaching program.

Somebody mentioned earlier that you need to have your own product or service, and I totally agree. I think you need a product, service and definitely a strong sales funnel.

But you need to focus on what area you want to do that in and then start taking massive action.

Harry Nguyen, You’re right. Sometimes I ask the same to myself. WTF have I been doing since so long… time flies, indeed. I’ve not done very long term jobs. Rather for learning skills….Job is not my type, trust me. I do not know why but I can’t seem to stick for long at jobs. In fact, I do know why! That’s because I want to do something of my own. I do not want to be working for someone all my life and end up getting peanuts. Yes, one has to do that for learning and experience. I’ve done a few jobs for that already. Lately, it felt like I am being lazy and am a loser. So I searched for a job of project management and almost instantly got one. The last company I was project manager in, I worked about 13-15 hours every day. It was good too, I performed great, my reporting authorities were satisfied too. But soon after a month, I knew this is not my thing. I should be doing this for myself, if I want to do this management. I’ve never done a programming job but over the 3 years period, I was doing many live projects within the institute.

Redhottexan, Wish you best of luck too! My goal for IM is to earn money. To be very frank, I know it sounds insane to say so and doesn’t create a great motivating vibe. But the fact is my friend, when you know you’re not making a very good income. When you know you need more money to support expenses. When you know you might be getting engaged very very soon and you need money for that too. When you know you are not job type, when you want to do something, when you want to get in control of your life and able to support expenses and family…. Then is when it gets hard to think. My goal however is to be able to own a few number of businesses and become an entrepreneur. As time passes by, I’ll enhance my goal. Thanks for asking mate.

Searchlabmedia, I hear you mate. Seems legit, you definitely do need a service or product. Right now, am trying to make something happen which can bring me $2-4k per month or at least $1k. If my approach I am thinking doesn’t work then I’ll properly sit and think of some product, create site for that and start to market it properly. I’ll pursue a different way then.

Jackson Tan, that’s a small but very motivating message. Thanks for wishing me luck buddy. Feels good! I am happy for you that you’ve got to know a proven business model. Because usually I see people trying to sell their thing for the sake of “helping” you learn. Sometimes they’re legit but MOST of the times not. So best of luck…. I wish I knew something you know too  I’ll keep working hard.
Nightengale, I am thinking about your message every now and then. That was really good, thank you for writing such a detailed post dear.

@Everyone, thank you. I cannot emphasize this enough but really it feels extremely nice to have you guys there with me. I mean am just another warrior member but your response makes me feel like a friend. I’ll always be thankful to each one of you. Love you!

Recently, I've done a JV. He convinced me that he'll make it happen and as if he have a lot of experience. Unfortunately, that ain't going anywhere. Yes, I invested my money there.

I don't know but my last hope is, someone, in fact some few thousand people at least are doing really good online. Why not me? Why NOT! That's motivating.... trying to take baby steps, hoping I'll reach somewhere eventually. Thanks people!

      Hi HumbleGuy,

You got lots of great advice here. You really do have to focus on ONE thing, and stick with it until you achieve your goals. Pay close attention to the advice about building a list from day 1.

That's where I failed, it took 3 years for the penny to drop, even though I heard that advice a million times. It seemed like hard work, but to be honest, it's easier than trying to to keep up with all the S.E. updates and getting slapped all over the place.

Stay focussed, and when you succeed, (and you will if you don't give up), follow the same path on a new venture. Once you "know" what to do it really is just rinse and repeat.

      Good luck.

Sometimes when you are so close to something very successful, when you need that the most, it doesn't work out very well. I was almost done with $2k transaction but it didn't work out. Anyways, whatever has happened has happened for good on the hindsight I believe. Yes, I am being positive to keep my self going.

I definitely need to take action, before taking action in recommended directions. I'd like to opt for current projects I was working after/planning. If they don't work out, I'll completely focus myself on product/service idea.

List, let's discuss this too? What tools do you guys use? How to create a good list? What kind of plugins do you use for Wordpress CMS? Any other tools to have the list building system in place.

      Hi there HumbleGuy

You're awesome I mean, you have everything, the knowledge, the skills and talents from programming to seo to design and now you want to be an entrepreneur.

You can be what you want and have what you want. It's possible just create a plan, a long-term plan about your dream business. Prepare what you need and do your plan. You can apply and use all your knowledge and skills and even experience to your future business.

      For example:

Business is open as well as its website. Labeling and designing of the product logo is doable by you. you can do promotions also since you have the knowledge in SEO.

You have a bright future and you need someone to help you unleashed that new you. Have mentors that are expert in Marketing, Business etc.

They can really help you to build you and your dreams.

      Hope that helps a little.

    Leejeong,
Thank you for commenting mate. Yes, it sounds good when you look back and see you've come a long way. For someone like me, who's not a native English speak and yet have managed to do some difficult things in life is inspiring. I am happy about it myself.

But its important to understand something here. When you know different parts of the industry well, such as design, seo, content and programming. It definitely helps just because no one can easily fool you, even if that means to be talking about some technical programming concept. It does help a lot there. However, if you talk about doing all of those things you learned yourself, then I believe we're making a mistake. The skills you accumulate and might be expert as a decade ago, you won't be so good at it anymore if you don't keep doing it.

That's why jack of all in my opinion helps broaden your vision and perspectives. However, it helps when you've got more stable. So you really need to then deal at high level of things. For starting out and making big, doing an okay job doesn't help.

Loads of little things one wants to talk about......yes, I hate complaining. But the problem becomes when you imagine future. When you feel like planning things, you at times just can't because you know you need $1k every month to support family and expenses. When you have that peace of mind, it really helps to be creative.

I'd have had that but I lost a couple thousand $$$ at local stock market and more than that at forex lately. That has broken my back. But I do not want to keep crying over that. The day it happened to me, the day I learned things and the same night I was happy talking with my family and friends. It doesn't help to keep crying over that. Otherwise it just takes away all of my energy.

Believe me? I started to write content of 400 words for $2 a week ago. Why? Because I've thinking, planning and since things were not working out. I thought I need to do something and started doing it. After completing a dozen of articles for different clients, I realized, am not making much at all. So I've now stopped taking orders and need to think different.

    mrelk159, like that stuff.

My messages might seem as if I am looking for easy money or am being lazy. Yes, maybe that's correct. But I am not afraid to do hard work and I've done good hard work when I have proper directions and see returns come daily. That becomes more important when you want to feel secure enough to be able to face expenses, for important events.

I am sure you guys might have even better and tough stories than mine. Those of you exactly know how it feels to have stuck or whatever, but eventually not making enough money.

Irritating, yeah? Nevermind, you're not alone I feel like making a couple $$$ (around $20k) and then properly investing my money. Not like before where I was speculating. Since my brother is a finance major, MBA with CFA too, he'll help me out there. Though I personally have some resources I know too to have this properly invested. So with the returns I get from there, will massively help me to feel easy and maybe waste some money trying things but eventually starting to make things happen for me.

So how does that sound? $20k but how! Right, that's what I am trying to figure out too.

I have a couple sites too, such as MkvFilms.net which is getting around 500 unique visitors daily with a very LOW bounce rate of around 15% only. The fan page has around 8k likes. That is when I've stopped posting anything at all. It's easy to post there and if I can post 5 movies a day. I'll double its traffic easily. Guess what? I am not monetizing it at all. Yes, i used adsense but it just made me around $60 and that's it. Due to the nature of site, I didn't want to put adsense and maybe some other network. This is the single site I've ever owned in movies niche. I bought it from someone and further developed it. For any of the keywords, it comes on top of Google such as mkv movies, mkv films, download mkv movies online and so on

For service, I started one site namely codingpsd.com - its there but I've not done a single cent of marketing for it. Hopefully I will do its marketing in a few months, if not sooner.

I am right now starting to work at a simple blog. Hopefully will take it ahead from there. With that, I've hired a team to make a simple but very usable and custom gag site for me. With my input, they're doing a nice job but are really delaying things. Why did I do this? Hoping to follow the entrepreneurial path and trying to make it big.

If nothing of this works out then I will do something completely different from scratch. So you see, I am doing things. I had around 30 domains and a lot of things... I am not new but I am definitely trying to move up a ladder now. Those who're reading this thread from the beginning pretty much knows me well now.

Hope it helps people to know they're not struggling alone. It helps to have a company I believe. Btw, being a humbleguy, I really want to thank each one of you who's taken the time to read and write back. It really helps! Thanks!

So you gave up just because of Adsense? For 500 unique visitors a day, so much potential is being lost here and I highly recommend setting up an email responder list and take advantage of all that traffic you are getting. Rather than work on a new project and work your way up from scratch, convert that traffic you have and make it something that can really kick a**.

You need to focus. It is so hard in this business to do it, but focusing is a must.

First, figure out one niche that made you the most money, and the one you liked as well.

Write down, all the tasks you need to do to repeat it.

So now, you have what needs to be done.

We all work differently and we all have to maintain discipline. You see, I work around 8 hours per day, but never 8 straight. I tend to work 2 hours here and there, but I need flexibility, and I am actually more productive that way.

I tend to lose focus after 2-3 hours at the comp.

I guess, what I am trying to say is, you already know you can make money with IM, but you need to focus on one aspect of your business that you like and enjoy. I hope this helps a bit. ;-)

  • Aloha HumbleGuy!

Thank you for sharing your desire to succeed despite lack of achieving the success you want. I've encountered this with many people as it's a common problem what you're experiencing.

I think the reason for this is that very few people online will help you connect the dots and figure out exactly what works. The problem with learning from many different people is that you'll have some contradictory information along with some unanswered questions.

Being an affiliate is a good thing. I've made a lot of money as an affiliate. I personally believe that you need your own product to be successful. Of course you can make a lot of extra money on the back end by promoting other offers to your list.

By having your own product you are able to have affiliates promote your product as well. It gives you more power.

Creating a product is not very hard. It's much easier than you think.

Of course you'll need to know how to promote it after you create it.

I've been doing business online for the past 10 years as well. In that time I've made about $3 million dollars. It used to be a lot easier to run your own business completely on your own. When adwords first came out I ran my entire IM business with a simple website, some ebay auctions and some adwords campaigns and pulled in about $25,000 a month.

It's not that easy for a single person any more. The world is more competitive. You need to do deals with other entrepreneurs. Having your own product (and more importantly, your own list) helps you make those deals.

Fortunately you have a community here that will help you.

I am actually looking for 30 Warriors to mentor for LIFE. I'll be posting it as a WSO in the next few days. If you would like to be guided through all of the steps to creating your own successful online business, I will personally help you reach the $10,000 a month level in the next few months.

Having a plan to follow that will give you the desired goal is all that it takes. I haven't seen many plans that actually work, which is why I am looking for people to work with.

I'm also looking to promote the people I am working with as their affiliate. My entire business is structured around helping 30 warriors achieve this level with a business they'll start in the next 7 weeks.

The fact that you know what you already know is a huge advantage. If you'd like to follow a complete plan and actually work with someone who cares about your success, I'm your man.

I'm on this forum to help people regardless. I can't work with everyone personally. I'll be charging a modest fee because of the time that I'm putting into it.

I look forward to working with you. Let me know if you'd like more information & I'll pm you when the WSO goes live.

    Aloha,
    Brian Campbell

P.S. If you have any questions, even just about an idea you have, or what to do next, please feel free to ask

Yes, you're right. I should be doing that. To be frank, I do not know about how to setup that. I've never done it, it was a bit confusing for me and I never seemed to understand its real value. So I guess I should start to build a list. MkvFilms.net is on blogger, how can I setup a list there?

With that, how to do it on wordpress too?

Thanks, that's a good idea to do something with some project I am not doing anything with.

ivana, some really good tips there. Thank you. I posted a detailed response but not sure why it isn't showing up here. Anyways, I am looking forward to experiment new ways and expand my horizons. While doing all of that, I should use the knowledge I have today too.

Any of you guys know any ad network that would be good for mkvFilms.net? As I am getting around 500 uniques daily and its been long time, I am not making anything out of it. I guess that's a good start, I should make money out of it. There are many ad-networks, looking for anything besides Google Adsense, preferably payment via Paypal. Any ideas?

@HumbleGuy - Choose one aspect of IM and stick to it until you are making consistent money online. Do not waver, get distracted by shiny objects or doubt yourself for a single second. You can start changing your life right now, starting today! Don't do anything your heart is not in or because it 'sounds like a good idea'. Do it because you believe in it and you want to make a difference. Good luck!

Dean, thank you For a moment, you made me feel like a Pro IM. Speecless. I do believe in myself. It's easy to get distracted, yes, but at times not due to shiny objects but rather the need of money. Though I'll keep this advice engraved in my head.

    My advice to you:

    Pick a niche.

Create an Email LIST and a High Converting Sales Funnel.

Start sending targeted traffic to a squeeze page.

Use Paid Traffic Methods like Facebook Adds, Bing, Google Ads etc..

If your on a limited budget then use Free traffic sources like youtube, Facebook Fan pages,
    twitter, Web 2.0 pages etc..

    Hope this helps.

Remember - Keep things simple. When you have a lil bit of success. Find out Exactly how it happened and then do more of it - SCALE UP
