Personally, I would sell it off and focus on other things. But that is mainly because I get hit with "Miley Cyrus" spam on a daily basis and I think she is incredibly annoying.

You say that you put this project to the side because you wanted to work on other things. You also say that you don't have any content. Taking these factors into account I think it would be best to sell the domain for a profit.

Why not take the money earned and invest it into your bigger projects? I don't know, I just see the "Miley Cyrus" craze dying down within a year or so. Plus, those damn spammers annoy the hell out of me. But like I said, this is what I would do.

    Hope I could help.

In spite of anyones personal feelings toward the girl, she probably wont' be going anywhere anytime soon. As she gets older she will go through more than one love of her life, which is good for you and your domain. MileyRayCyrusAnd.com could be and whoever she decides, or MileyRayCyrusAnd whatever type of controversy she ends up in.

On second thought, she'll die out. Domains not gonna be worth much, sell it. Let me know how much you want for it!

A few years ago, I noticed a minor celebrity who seemed to be gathering steam. I quickly put together a Blogger.com blog and loaded it up with about 20 brief, original posts. I monetized with Adsense.

Her star continued to rise and the site started generating around $5 per day. I continued to sporadically add posts. Traffic continued to increase. With VERY little intentional link-building, it eventually found its way to PR4 and has never failed to generate $100 in Adsense per month.

When a handful of big celeb blogs ran a story about her last month, I cashed in for $138.62 in ONE day.

I probably spend about an hour every 6 mos. on this blog, if that. It's probably made me between $8K and $12K over the last 4 years.

My advice? Keep it. What's the worst that can happen? Hire someone on the cheap to write a slew of posts, set them to drip-feed and make a little money. I just did a bit of Googlin', and Ms. Cyrus has a new movie coming out soon. That alone might give you enough action to net more than the $250 you think you could get for the domain.

Overall, celebrity sites do seem to be tough to monetize. I've never had any luck on my little site with anything other than Adsense, to tell you the truth. Still, those little payouts can add up over time.

I know that my experience was something of a fluke. It was a matter of being in the right place at the right time with the right keywords. I've tried to duplicate the process to no avail. However, if you get a little luck with one of these... Well, it's good enough that I'd gamble on keeping MileyCyrusAnd.com...

I would monitize it with CPA and anything else that would make money, put it up for sale, and wait till I had a decent offer

From that, I can clearly see a thousand dollar business here.
If that's the case, why would you sell it for $250?

You see several ways to make money with this site, spending a little bit of your time to put up fresh offers now and then. Since you can do this on the side, why not invest a little of your time.

If it turns out the site is a money maker, you get to keep the money, and it would be easy to sell. If it's not a money maker, well it still might go for a higher price if you have some blogs and offers already on it.

What are the odds that someone who pays $250 for the site will do better with it than you could?

    Regards,
    Allen

I'd join the allposters.com Aff.Prog. and throw up some links for that also. Kids & Teens alike are nuts for Miley.
