I hate squeeze pages, but love Money

Some people have a tendency to get angered whenever they get so little people opting in their list but what I see is that USUALLY only people who are serious will opt in any ways, which is perfect for me because I don't want to market to people who never had the intention to buy anything.

I call these people"The eager bunch".

People ask me, "do you make a squeeze page first? or do you test the sales page?

At this point I only make squeeze pages that have a tested sales page. Some people like to jump straight in. I'll say only jump straight into make a squeeze page if you know you have a sales page that will convert. Some people think if they put in their email they will get bombarded with spam, so you could be loosing out on potential sales. Run a split test for both and see which one gets you more sales. Remember to use only one traffic source.

Make sure to track where your traffic is coming from.

If you get 120 people to your page and have no sales then your sales page is bad and you should probably get a squeeze page to capture people FAST.

Adswaps and solo ads, With these you'll definitely want to have a squeeze page to capture your leads. I'd like to categorize these as warm leads.
Hot leads -

These leads are ready to buy usually from webinars, events or a long sales page, the best lead is a word of mouth lead. The above warm lead is warm because you're just softening them up, they don't know if they want to buy they just want more information.

Cold Leads
People who see's an ad and are already interested or people who come directly to your website from a commercial. Don't depend on a sale from these people your job is to make these cold leads turn into hot leads... This is your ONLY job.

Don't leave them ANYTHING to guess about. They need to have very minimal questions once they are done looking at your sales page.

TEST, TEST, TEST.

It's a numbers game.

How much is this program?

Be clear on your price.

Is there a money back guaranteed?

If not, put one there unless your product is a monthly subscription, which will be a smart thing to do considering there will be no money back guaranteed and you can put "Cancel anytime". Great for affiliates and product owners. Just make sure there is a good reason to be a subscription based product... Easiest way? Updates.

Are there testimonials? (not always needed but social proof is the best). It's not exactly word of mouth so let's call it - whisper marketing.

Can you give me an example?

Even if it's brief, people aren't going to buy anything unless you paint some type of visual picture in their minds. Our minds feel more comfortable with things that our imagination can relate to. Imag-ination (see the word image in there).

What is this about?

Again, be very clear.

Is the product worth at least 3 times as much as it's being sold for?

For example, if your product costs $50.00 dollars then your product needs to be valued at $150.00 dollars. This is why you'll see a marketer give bonuses, to boost the value of their main product. You may ask yourself, what determines the value of a product? This question is subjective, I usually ask myself, If my product is $50.00, would I buy this for $150.00 if someone else was selling it? Be real with yourself, if your answer is no then you need to add a bonus or add more content (real content, not just filler content).

Most people are visual learners (no I don't always me pictures directly) so your goal is to paint a picture in their minds. So you are educating them while entertaining their thoughts with ideas.
Remember there are two different groups. People who are common to what you're teaching and people who are not. So make sure you're entertaining both. How?

People like stories but don't over do it and integrate it to seem seamless with your products sales page.

Imagine t,his like a movie preview you give them just enough (but it has to sound real). Remember this, if a person see's enough truthful FACTS early in your sales copy then their mind's things everything else is true. This can diminish though, as the reader progresses so be careful what your words are as you progress.

Think about what would you like to hear, what would intrigue you to buy something.

Some people have asked me about free wso's is it effective? Well here's the deal, if you're in an internet marketing forum then realistically you'll get plenty people opting in to get your free offer but it's becoming a time where marketers are smart about what they do and they have started putting fake emails in.

So, I'll say make sure that free offer is sent to their EMAIL not the next page. The next page they should see when they opt-in is a small cheap offer which a good portion of impulsive buyers will buy. The reason I say small offer is because they are coming off the thought of free... There's a big gap from giving something free to charging $60.00

Also, don't worry about the fake emails, those who are serious and who sincerely want to make money will put in their real email and even if not, if they are serious they will buy anyways.

Educate them a little on what you'll be selling them, this will make them feel more comfortable and it helps give fuel to the idea of painting an image.

You want to do all of this before they even see your page because you want it to be as simple as possible.

If you create a squeeze page I'd recommend the squeeze page plug-in called INSTABUILDER it's a wso and a really awesome plug in. It's fast and easy and I use it myself. That's another thing don't tell people about things that you don't know how to use or haven't used yourself. Honesty is key. You don't want someone to ask you a question and you don't the answer to it.

The reason I make a great income is because I test beyond reason. Making $400,000 dollars a year is made through helping people. Information is king.

Build relationships.

Here's a great question someone emailed me the other day and asked. "What if I want to build my list but I want them to see my sales page first". I know some people want to test the power of their sales page and still capture people. My response: "what you can do is put up and exit pop up squeeze page... This way if they don't like what you offer, you then intrigue them by giving them something for free on the exit pop-up. Remember, if you're giving away something for free they need to know that it has at least a $20.00 value.

Also I've been asked, Do i need to do a double opt in? (I don't do double opt-ins) But I'll tell them yes (to be safe) ... but... If you don't want to then I'd recommend you put something on your first email that goes out to let them know that they have subscribed and that they can opt out at any time (draw attention to that section). Sounds like you'll be biting yourself a bit, but, if you put above how much value they are going to get out of being on your list then that secures them (usually). This way you don't have to do a double opt-in and they know that they have chosen to be on that list.

Here's what my welcome email has at the bottom, In one email list I even put this at the bottom of every email I send out have in my auto-responder and broadcast.

ps.

By reading this email you understand that you've opted into our mailing list and we'll do our best to make sure we provide top notch value. But you can opt out at anytime below. Thank you, and here's to a great friendship.
(I draw attention to that portion)

So, I have a very interesting question for you all.

Would you still do business the same way if you were a millionaire? and if not, how?

Please any feed back will be greatly appreciated, thank you Daniel Brown - Brown Marketing.

You can and will do absolutely anything you deem possible. Keep moving forward, there is no such thing as failure (change your definitions). Meditate your way into the vibration of wealth and you WILL resonate.

Lead capture pages are the fastest way to get more people on your list from cold traffic. It forces people to make a decision... leave or get access inside. The backend process of communication is the most important because LACK OF TRUST is the main reason why people do not buy right off the back along with them not seeing enough value. Its almost like dating. Good girls will not give it up until you take them on several dates and prove your worth. Give massive value in the form of a solution time after time and you will earn strangers trust. I use optimize press because Ryan Deiss has already proved that a squeeze page with an image converts way higher if its congruent with the message. I can make high converting squeeze pages in less then 5 minutes with optimize press and make sales funnels as well. Its no quiescence that top marketers use this tool.

Danny I'm also willing to bet being good with numbers and testing helps you weed out what works and what doesn't much quicker.

When I first start list building I just wanted to see sign ups every day I didn't care how they got there or who sent them.

I paid for that big time too. Now I monitor everything I want to know how many people view certain things what percentage clicked the links, how many emails were opened, the whole shabangabang.

I enjoyed this please keep it coming.

      Hi Tim,

      Thanks for reading.

Actually, being good with numbers is only a result of me doing this for so long. So being good with numbers didn't aid to my success in any shape or form because the formula was still:

Traffic + Offer = Money So consciously knowing or being aware of numbers had no weight. I did the same thing when I started though I was just happy to see people opting in. I think I started with ad.fly and got a hundred or so optins and seen that these leads were not converting or active.

You seem to be on a great path to success. As long as you focus your intention on what you want and "not lack"... and you're sincerely trying to help people, then you'll surely gravitate towards better finances much faster.

      Thank you.

The over sales at that point were the same. It didn't matter that I got less than half the number of people seeing that sales page. Only they were interested anyway.
Thank you for responding Chris, and you're 100 percent correct and if people were to test they will see that same thing for themselves.

Sure, I can test a single factor like a headline with minimal traffic but it will still take some time to show a statistical winner.

But if you are testing everything, you are going to need a hell of a lot more traffic to do it, something that most people on this forum probably don't have, especially if they are entering a new niche.

I know one can use adfly to test squeeze pages but its useless for the rest of your funnel, isn't it? Any suggestions?

    Thanks
What do you define as large amounts? In general, I look at 100 as a factor of 1,000 and then break it down. So basically, if I get 100 opt-ins and roughly 3 sales, then I know my results will be similar if I were to get 1000 opt ins which is 10 times as many opt ins. Which means roughly I'll get 30 (that's 10 times 3) or so sales. This type of calculation has worked for me for a while now.

But you're right more traffic equals better testing. Yes, adfly is usless for sales but for testing your headline and squeeze page it's great. I can and have gotten over 200 leads from ad.fly and it's just tells me that the page is good enough for getting people to see what's on the other side of the squeeze page. Now I can test my offer page the same way with a solo ad and if you get similar results then you can put the squeeze page on your offer and then scale up by running big campaign solo ads and ads in general.

Also offline marketing where you make a flyer and get people to rip off a piece of paper with your website name on it is great after you know it converts. But this traffic is warm traffic.

If you'd like to test the rest of your funnel then simply ask as many people as possible and spend money testing. I'll get back to you on this.
