I can't buy the WSO I promote also with other people links. Why?

Hello, in last days I had a bad problem within the three browsers I've installed on my Mac. Whenever I promoted a WSO to my list, I can't buy it, also clicking other affiliate links.

I always like to buy the WSO if I could sell some copies...
I also asked to a famous Warrior to make a try, he sent his link and didn't worked. The same happens with the email I receive, the links bring me always on my account page.
I try to clean cache, to restart system, to change browser and nothing worked.

I continue to receive the same error message, that the buyer email is the same to which payment will be sent.
I'm around this forum by a lot of years and that never happened before.

Have you ever had the same problem? In case please share your opinion, because I'm going crazy 'bout this!

Thanks so much and see you soon,
Alessandro Zamboni

I doubt you can buy your own product. If its your affiliate link I wouldnt think you could buy your own affiliate product either.

That's what I was thinking too.

Paypal doesn't let you purchase from yourself, so that MIGHT be the reason why.

Only way to know for sure is to have someone else try to purchase.

      EDIT:

I went back & re-read the OP, and now I suspect it might be a problem with your PP account if you aren't able to purchase from other affiliates.

Call PP & see what they say.

Thanks so much, I will try also to ask help to Paypal.
        Good idea.

Yea it's to stop people signing up to promote the offer they want to buy and getting the commission aswell.
Some people try it as a way to make few bucks back on purchasing it, think the only way around it is clear your cookies and then go to the thread or sales page but not via your affiliate link or you will just end up in the same boat...

It sounds to me as if it could be a cookie problem? You already have your own affiliate cookie on your system and clicking on someone else's affiliate link isn't over-riding your own affiliate cookie.

Have you tried on a different machine or device? One on which you haven't already clicked your own affiliate link? Just a thought.

Hi RoseTrees, I'm sorry I've some difficulty in telling my problem, because it seems I try to buy from my link, but this is not the fact.
The fact is that if I click on 100's other affiliate links for that product, I continue to access with my cookie, and there's no why to delete it.

So you have found the real problem. Good idea about trying on another pc.
Tomorrow I will try from family shop's mac.

Thanks so much for the suggestion, probably it will solve the problem!
      See you soon,

  • Thanks to all but the problem is not I want to pay from my link, because I used other people's link to buy the products. But it's like I'm going to buy my own product all the time.
I don't want the commissions, I got yet a lot from my list.

The problem is I want to buy the product and I can't in any way
Thanks for now and see you soon,

This is the problem. Just use a different email address as "buyer" and you should be able to make a purchase O.K.

I had the same problem when I first set up my Paypal account. I wanted to test my shopping cart, but Paypal would not let me use the same address for buyer as was listed for seller. I used a different email address, and everything was fine!

Edit. I forgot to mention, you will need a second Paypal account. You are allowed two accounts under their TOS. I have a personal account and a Premier account.

It's the Mac. Get a PC. Just kidding.

The problem is not the computer or cookies. It is you are trying to buy with the same pay pal email address you are selling with.

Edit: I see Myles already answered that. So much for my speed typing class.

  • Thanks Myles Sinclair and Troy_Phillips, now I will try to activate a secondary Paypal mail and I will do my best to gather fundamental information from your tips.

My first and unique Paypal account is a Business account.

Thanks so much and see you soon!
