Emailing Clients & Affilate Marketing...

I'm somewhat new to affiliate marketing, I'm still reading a lot about it and have much more material to cover but had a few questions to ask, more so about emailing your customers or "list" that you generated.

1) What kind of software is best used to send out massive email to multiple emails at once? How does this work, let's say you have a client who signed up but no longer wants to receive your email, how can they unsubscribe? Is this a 3rd party service that used or do you manually remove them?

2) Most emails providers nowadays (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Etc) have spam filters that detect certain emails (not sure the logic behind it). How can you make sure your email doesn't go into the spam folder and is sent directly to the inbox?

Thank You,
LivingCali758

There are 3rd party companies that offer such services.

Aweber and GetResponse are the probably the most popular. Myself, I use Aweber.
They cover everything from e-mail address confirmation to unsubscribe buttons.

    Hello

First of all you can sign up to an autoresponder service such as www.aweber.com of www.getresponse.com which are very popular with marketers.

Every email your autoresponder sends out always includes an unsubscribe link at the end for your leads to click if they no longer want your emails.

Services like aweber have like a spam scoring feature. They basically help you to create your emails in such a way that they are far more likely to end up in peoples inboxes instead of junk folders.

Another awesome way is to ask your subscribers to save your email address so that your emails are actually delivered to their inboxes

I hope this has helped you, Neil

      Thank you both,

If I were to purchase data for a specific market that specified each person's email address, would I be able to add them into these online services?

So I buy a list of 1,000 customers who are interested in the sport of Baseball

I want to sell them an affiliate related to baseball.

Is this something I can do?

    1) use a program called an autoresponder -they take care of scheduling emails to clients and also useful if you want to send out a mass message to your subscribers. Most auto responders like aweber and getresponse will generate an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email so you do not need to worry about people who want to unsubscribe.

2)there really isn't a way to guarantee 100% of the emails reach the subscribers inbox, but having a low spam score which is shown in the autoresponder service will help you get your emails delivered.

I recommend aweber as well. I have also used getresponse, mailchimp, and constant contact but aweber takes the cake hands down. Their customer service is also top notch.

Subscribers can manually unsubscribe with the click of a button on the bottom of every email sent out.

Aweber comes with a SpamAssassin counter which helps to let you know if your email has a chance of being marked as spam or not, which is helpful.

Another tactic is to simply ask your subscribers to 'white list' you or add you to their contacts list.

    Hope this helps

You need an "autoresponder, which handles all the above and more..

You need to be able to send your subscribers an automated email series which they get, in order, starting on the day they subscribe and then spread out over whatever future days you set up.

You can get self-hosted autoresponders (if you're techie enough to cope with them!) or use commercial ones, of the which the two market leaders are GetResponse and Aweber, either of whom give first month free (or maybe $1), and then charge $15/$20 per month, for which you can have "multiple autoresponders" for "multiple lists". Highly recommended. Don't use a free one!

    No.

No commercial autoresponder company will allow you to import bought lists. There are reasons for that. And they're the same reasons that should also discourage you from trying to do it yourself with a self-hosted autoresponder. It won't work, for making affiliate sales, anyway. People buy from people whose lists they've subscribed to and built a relationship with them based on credibility, respect and trust, not from people who've bought their email address and sent them unsolicited email.

Oh I see, this makes sense. This is why it's so important to establish a relationship with customers first. This makes sense. So my access to mailing lists is no good when it comes to the IM, only direct mail marketing?

        Indeed.

Nothing devalues a list as much as its being sold, because the list-purchaser has no relationship with the subscribers.

Typically the open-rates for such emails are terribly low anyway, because they're people who receive large amounts of spam emails: if you can buy them, other people can buy them.

You really need to build your own lists, to make affiliate sales. Explained a little more here (with specific reference to selling ClickBank products, but the principle applies elsewhere, too): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523
