I don't understand membership sites...

How can someone charge $49 each and every month for their resources? What the hell do they have behind closed doors that's so damn valuable? You can't expect someone to pay $588 annually for a membership unless you've got something pretty damn impressive.

How do people do it? What the hell do you membership site owners offer for such ridiculous prices?

haa, well, having "8" member sites now, I can tell you 1) there are different kinds of member sites worth a variety of different values and 2) any member site that stays around very long needs ongoing maintenance and enhancements from someone or it's gonna die a quick death.

Both of those scenarios are worth paying for ongoing...and payments are required to give incentive to the member site owner to keep going; because member sites are the most time-intensive websites on the Internet when done correctly. If you don't put the time into giving your members insane amounts of value every month, they're gone in a heartbeat.

So, sure out of 100 member sites you've come across, 95 of them suck because the owner went into his site thinking he could just create a bunch of recycled content and schedule his month-long vacation in the islands to "make money as he sleeps" but 'real' member site owners that offer a truly unique value see things much differently I can assure you.

Can you tell me what a successful member site owner offers each month and how much their membership would cost?

Because if there's value(and in some cases not) people will subscribe!! You REALLY don't need a whole lot of people to sign up to be making GREAT money. Membership sites seem like one of the smartest business models to me man.

$49 is considered maybe mid-price if not on the cheap side...

The pricier membership start around $97/month.... up to $997/month. There might be even more expensive ones, who knows.

Membership sites provide unique content, products, articles, PLR, MRR, videos, websites, tutorials and more, that you can't find anywhere else, or you'd have to pay for to get anywhere else.

Interesting. I guess it's still about giving away products just a slightly different payment method.

My favorite model is producing some kind of web-based tool for a niche market. I'm not a programmer but I do have a team that includes programming skill. So, I can bring that idea to the table and have it developed into a tool. Find the right tool for a niche and you have yourself a membership system that justifies charging for. If nothing else, you simply HAVE to charge something so that you have funding to continue development and enhancements of the tool.

To have it all make more sense, think of website hosting. It's a type of membership system too. People spend years moving their sites to different hosting companies. Once they finally find one they like, they'll stay there forever! Same thing with tools. Give your niche the right tool that really helps them in some small or large way, and they'll keep subscribing to it forever....as long as you're able to support it.

It's like anything else. If you're broke, its impossible to justify $97/month. If you're successful, SOME of these higher priced membership sites can be worth their weight in gold. Every worthwhile business requires some type of investment.

Some hacking forums, or Blackhatforums, give exclusive method like Working BIN of VCC for verifying your Ad account, where they need CC Verification

Some will offer you some exploit in OS , for making your own botnet.

These type of info will survive for very less time in Public Forum. So this is made private so only limited number of people utilize these for making real money.

Also if you are ready to pay for a resource, then it means you will respect that resource and use it in best possible way simply because you paid for it. This will also prevent you from sharing it.

Note: Warrior forums is also charging $10 For Membership to prevent Spam. Yet this is another reason for membership.

Some membership sites have software interfaces which to continue having access, you need to sustain an active subscription. Just one of the few features that some membership sites have.

If you create information membership sites then you need to either constantly add ne content or create modules and drip feed them, expecting members to eventually quit.

I'm creating a new membership site in a self help niche. We already have a ton of products that we sell one-off. So we will drip feed advanced content AND give away one existing product per month. This makes the membership a great deal for buyers, and greatly increases our customer lifetime value.

    Make sense?

Membership sites are a simple concept. Whatever sits behind that password protected wall is something that makes your subscriber's life better. As soon as that is no longer the case - for whatever reason - you will lose them.

So, what makes your subscriber's life better? In my case, I cater to a relatively small niche with an ever growing database they can access in several ways. The data I provide helps them save money and avoid liability. This is a mid-$xxx,xxx business.

My next membership site, getting ready to launch now, is a CRM tool that will help small salespeople and businesses stay on top of their pipelines. This is a huge marketplace, and the average membership fee will likely be much smaller. But there are millions of potential customers.

It is not all about writing articles, shooting videos, and teaching courses. A membership site, like any viable business, works by selling ongoing solutions to real problems.
