100 unique visitors from blog commenting in 4 days

Dear Warriors,

I have made 59 valuable comments in 4 days! For this 59 comments I spent about 6 hours!

Now I have used adtrackzgold for tracking the link.

Adtrackzgold shows me that I have 100 unique clicks from the link which I have tracked but Google analytics (free account) only shows me 43 unique visitors....

which is the problem??

All opinions are welcome!

Thank you,
Zouras

I also find that Google does not agree with my other tracking methods, not sure which is the best to go by at times but I like to think I got more than less I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

May I ask, when you say you got these visits from blog commenting, did you provide your links in the comment itself?

When you make a comment you can input your 1) name 2)website 3)email...
      thats all

Okay so it wasn't in the comment itself, that's cool thanks.

I would have written more 4/5 fresh articles by the time.

Nobody can tell you with certainty, but when it comes to tracking, underestimates are - in principle - more likely than overestimates, and for myself I'd be looking askance at the Google information and feeling like a skepchick over it, Zouras.

Good luck with your blog commenting. It's early to be monitoring the results, of course: you'll still get more visitors from it, too.

That's actually not too bad. However, if you're commenting for TRAFFIC specifically, don't waste time commenting on low traffic blogs. You need to be one of the first comments on a niche-related post from a high traffic blog.

Generally what I'll do is check the Alexa ranking, or even PR, of the blog before leaving a comment. This usually gives me a decent idea of the amount of traffic it's getting.

Scrapebox is incredibly helpful for this because it can search for thousands of niche-related keywords at once, search for posts made within the past 24 hours, check the PR of the blogs, Alexa rankings, etc.

Part of the problem with Analytics is it's javascript. Some browsers automatically disable JS. Those people are invisible to Google's Analytics.

Perform a search, here, and look for the many threads about alternatives to Analytics.

Correct, in addition to this your non GA tracking software may be tracking "clicks" from spiders and crawlers. They only look at the source of a page and dont load JS like a browser would.

This can create "false" impressions on stat counters etc

+1 for Scrapebox, the swiss army knife of SEO. Don't use it for the spamming. Instead, use it to identify the best link targets, as mentioned above.

I agree with this, just make sure you use private proxies with it though.

You don't really need private proxies unless you're posting with it. Just a good source of public proxies.

I mean, they help since they're more reliable. But they're not 100% needed.

Right the opposite. You start burning Google down with your queries and your ip gets banned. Posting from your IP will only get you in trouble if enough people complain to your ip.

A manual search for blogs in your niche is good enough for the fact your own study of the blogs you find is what determines if they are worthy of your commenting time.

To the OP .. do you realize how many unique visitors you could get using a lot less labor in 4 days? Blog comments are good long term but 10 good blogs and comments should give more than 100 clicks.

Depends on how much traffic the blog is getting, which is why I tend to at least check the Alexa ranking and / or PR of the blog itself before commenting on a recent post. (I know this isn't an exact science, but it usually helps give you an idea of whether or not it's getting traffic.)

Although blog commenting is tough but it still can generate targeted traffic if you post comments on related blogs.

Google Analytics is better in sorting the traffic between human and bot, so it tracks traffic which from human only.

You can track your links but some places will give you different numbers.

I personally use one and I know how many visitors I get per day. Working with 2 of them is way too frustrating because 1 tells you xxxx amount of clicks and the other one gives you a different number.

I use statcounter.com and you will need to generate a code to add to your site so that it tracks everything.

I don't know but I can say this. I have both Analytics and Statcounter on my main site (both tracking all pages) and I always get around 20% to 25% less traffic according to Analytics than I do with Statcounter.

Statcounter has been all over the place for me over the past week or so. I'm not quite sure what's going on but I'm about to dump it unless I can find a solution. My server logs are a lot lower than what Statcounter is telling me.

    • Hey, that's great. You're getting your name out there. I'm impressed. A mini-marketing campaign and you can track exact (well, I guess more or less!) results. Good going.
