How can I make a Video to promote affiliate products?

Hello Warriors,
I have recently started affiliate marketing and I know that the best way to promote affiliate products is making video reviews. Though I know videos are the best, I am unable to create any proper sales pitch videos.

Warriors, do you have any software recommendation, other than Camtasia, that I can use? And what things I should keep in mind while making any such videos ?

As I am new, should I try to outsource this work to someone who is professional? Should I try the folks on fiverr?

Need some serious suggestion.
Thanks.

Something I have done in the past (that works well) is to create a slide show using Open Office and then record it using :

Screencast-O-Matic - Free online screen recorder for instant screen capture video sharing.

Put some fancy music in the background and you are good to go

Doing all of this cost you nothing as well

      Hey James,
That's a great thing. Yeah, I too have seen many such videos where they use slideshows. But I couldn't really make out that it can be done like this.
Thanks for the help man. And thanks for recommending the tool to me. Just started off with my first product review.

Thanks for this James ... this seems to be the sort of thing I've been looking for as well.

Mind you, I also think you can make a review look more "genuine" sometimes by simply doing a webcam recording of you talking about the product (with no screaming or shouting lol!). I think a video with too much razmataz can put people off.

Is it possible to add a voice-over using Screencast-O-Matic?

Hmmm not sure about this one. I think you can?

The method I use would be to actually speak into my iPhone (while recording it) then send me talking to my email, and upload the file into the background.

Of course you need a video editing software for that, and I am sure there are methods that work 10x better ...

but it got the job done for me

        But besides doing slides ...

        .

        .

I love going in front of the camera and I recommend others do as well. I made a few videos promoting a cook book and I demonstrated how simple it is to the make the recipe. And of course used some humor, made the video interesting, used unique camera angles. The sky is really the limit when making videos and people can actually see you (obviously) when doing this,

And of course, you can put the aff. link in the description or link to a squeeze page / newsletter. I have only put aff links in the description but many have said that linking to a squeeze page works wonders.

    Hi Guys,

Video marketing is a great way to show your squeeze page.

If you want to try and make a slide show video to get used to doing it I recommend Animoto.

You can make one of less than 30 seconds for free.

If you want to make a longer video then you will have to up grade from the basic package.

Just go to Animoto.com and have a look for yourself.

    hope this helps.

      Thanks for the feedback.
I have heard some talks about Animoto to create videos but never gave it a serious thought. May be now I will give it a try.

    Hi,

I have to agree with James and his choice of tool, there's a free version and the PRO version is only $15 per year.

screencast-o-matic.com is very good and easy to use.

Take a look around, there is a lot of good info on video marketing on this forum, it has really increased a lot over the past couple of years.
That was the real doubt. Can I trust the folks at Fiverr ? Thanks for clearing my doubt.
I didn't have quite explored the forum but now I think I should do it and maybe I will get solutions to all my problems.
    Thanks.

I've used Animoto in the passed and it was pretty easy to create slideshow videos with music.

Fiverr has some good video producers, so you should consider that option.

You'll need to learn what content to put in them to get people to click on your website link.

I like to create a video using Powerpoint.

In the 2010 version there are loads of smart art, images and clip art to use (or add your own) and the animations are fun and easy to do.

Then you can either use the Camtasia add in (if you have the program) to record it as a video or you can actually save it as a video, put it in Windows Movie maker and record your voice over and/or music.

I didn't know that MS Office could help me at this point. I have never ever used Office products except Word and so I am still stuck with 2003 version.
But your input has forced me to get the latest version or at least 2010 version and try powerpoint to make slideshows and then convert them into videos.

Listen to this method, create some PowerPoint slides that explain you product, then use Camtasia Studio and capture your screen while playing your slides and reading your slides. Now make the necessary editing and produce your video. and you are good to go.

I´ve had great success with Fiverr for Voice overs. I make the video myself and write the script the way I want it. When my main target marked is in the US I get someone from the US to make the Voice over, but when I´m selling a product targeting UK I get someone from there to make the voice over. My experience is that this converts better than having just one voice for the entire world.

Since you know Camtasia this should be just a small job that really will make a difference. The effect depending on what kind of products or business you are into.

      Hey thanks,
That's a great idea. Getting some person of the same country you are targeting to do the voice overs will be the best thing to do. Great thought

Fiverr won't be your best bet for the type of video you need to convert.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well, you can have tons of videos but they don't bring home the beacon, you will only find out one good video does the job all..

Take your time and hire a real professional in video creating and video marketing..

Yeah I would say personal video reviews are the best way. Best if you actually own the product in question and have results to report, things you would like to see improved etc.

I use free screen capture software called CamStudio so that is one way to give people a nice sneak peak inside.

I would concentrate on a lower quantity of high quality reviews with lots of credibility (and a decent length) rather than product mass quantities of 60 second slideshow reviews that are more like ads.

How i see it there is 3 Options for affialte videos.

The first is you take a video camera and tape your self talking about the product and why it is great . Make sure to add a call to action at the end.

The second is type up a review and what you want it to say.
Then use a tool like this Article2Video - Convert Any Article To Video and Generate Massive Traffic To Your Websites not mine.
    To convert to a video.

The third is using a screenshot video software and go through the product while looking through the screen.

The best option , i have seen is to do the first option because very few people do it and makes you stand out from the crowd. It will also convert better because people like seeing other people ,not robots and creates a trust.

I have to agree that screen o matic is one of the best tools out there...Camtasia is great as well but a bit in the upper price range. Screen o matic would suffice to start up with. Personally, I have had good experiences with video reviews on Fiverr. You just have to find a good provider.

It's not that the folks@ fivver can't be trusted, but that it wouldn't be your best option with what you're working with.

I haven't really messed with anything outside of MovieMaker and Adobe Flash for videos, so I can't help in that department, but it sure was educational reading through everything. Thanks!

Of course you can use fiverr - it's all about about the product that you want to promote and the type of video that you want to create. I would avoid any straight sales pitches as many people are put off by them, but a good video review could bring you tons of traffic and sales. If I want to buy say a new $100+ mouse, probably the 1st thing I would do is go to YouTube and watch a few videos of "regular" guys reviewing the mouse....

Hey, you can also try Sagit.com for a 30 day free trial. I've used them and been very happy and it will save you some money since Camtasia is expensive. Also if and when you decide tio get Camtasia go to ebay and look for an older version for around $100. Also you can download my free report on working with videos which will be helpful for you. Regarding Fiverr...it all depends. I'm a quality seller and know of a few others (we top rated sellers all know each other..lol). I'd say if you get someone really great, you'll get far more than your $5 worth.

Of course you can produce your own videos using camtasia or animoto.

But if you want high quality videos with no headache you may use micro-job sites like fiverr and others.

    Hey Arbaz,

I think you should definitely check out GoAnimate.com I think this is the perfect tool for you to create video reviews and sales pitch videos. There are tons of people who use it for video marketing, explainer videos and training videos. It's cheap and pretty easy to use and you don't need to hire an expensive video producer.
I use it myself to create explainer videos for my apps and websites.
