Anyone else have issues getting paid from Jvzoo?

I promoted a product for Jvzoo successfully in september and had quite a few earned commission dollars that still have not been paid to my paypal account.

I created a ticket in their ticket database originally in September where I was promised they realized there was a problem and the "programmer was working on it". It's now december and I still haven't been paid, is anyone else having this problem?

It seems a clickbank competitor that doesn't pay it's affiliates wouldn't last long in this community so I'm hoping this is something that someone who has some experience in JvZoo can help me with?

JVZoo doesn't pay your commissions, the merchant does. JVZoo does not collect the payments like Clickbank does. Payments go directly to the merchant and the merchant instantly sends your cut, per the settings in the merchants account for that product.

If you have unpaid commissions I would suggest you take it up with the merchant directly.

( I know that JVZoo does the API brand of split commissions, but the merchant is still the one who is responsible for paying commissions. JVZoo doesn't collect the payments so they can't be responsible for paying commissions.)

Vendors can either approve you for instant payment or delayed payment. If it is instant then the money will move through JVZoo and into your Paypal account at the time of sale - ok, not REALLY THROUGH JVZoo cause they don't take it - but they immediately send the splits. If it is delayed then the merchant (I believe) is responsible for sending payment your way.

It is done this way because JVZoo doesn't handle the money - so the merchant is protected from paying an affiliate whom he doesn't know an immediate cut for traffic that may all ask for a refund. Usually after the affiliate has made sales that are legit the vendor can change the payment structure to instant and everyone is happy.

OK guys, did anyone had any issues with JVzoo as a SELLER?

Because I did and the adaptive payments stuff was totally screwed up and did some weird things to my customers - like billing them a gazillion times and then refunding back everyone of them, then not registering sales and not crediting affiliates....
Yes, I rechecked several times my product setup and didn't find any fault.

Worse - their support is not helping, saying "we are looking into the issue" with no other response or contact whatsover...

This was my first attempt of using jvzoo - and a real bad experience.
Lost over a thousand $$, got a bunch of mad customers and frustrated subscribers and confused good affiliates...

My opinion the idea is good, but not now.
They need to work on their system MUCH MORE
and they do need a DECENT support.
I man they want to be a marketplace for chrissake...

Before you say "Clickbank's competitor" go learn something from Clickbank, son...

Geez, you can see I'm so unhappy...

We just ended up using JVZoo for our latest launch and the adaptive payment function was pretty sweet. It was great to see all the affiliates (that were approved) getting their payments instantly - Zero hassle.

I really enjoyed using their platform, actually. We wrote up a case study on our recent launch in our sig below...

I've asked jvzoo about the delayed payments before and they told me that they are sent Automatically 90 days after the sale. They said the merchant has the option to approve and send the commissions before the 90 days if they want to, though the merchant has no way to stop or withhold payments after the 90 days as that's done automatically by JVZoo.

So if it's been over 90 days and you haven't received them automatically to your PayPal, make sure there is nothing wrong with your PayPal and that it has the API permission for JVZoo set. Then call them, cause they're responsible at that point to make sure the payments are transferred to you.

While I can totally see the point of having the option for delayed payments, 90 days is WAY too long in this industry! CB is every 2 weeks and most networks is every month. Should not be longer than 30 days their delayed payments, IMO.

With JVzoo it was a total disaster for me. I have no idea why and the jvzoo stuff is not helping. I found quite a few problems with their stats too like showing 0 clicks and 200 visitors and vice-versa 480 visitors and 0 clicks. Also received quite a few sales, but stats keep showing 0... etc etc. That is besides their adaptive payment chaos on my pp account - like charging and refunding 1 customer 89 times!!! Still going thru cleaning the aftermath...

Anyway, I'm trying to work with the jvz support to find the problem.
But I'm not using them again before they explain and fix every single big and mall problem I've had...

    Just my personal experience...

    Hi,

I've had this issue a few times too with JV Zoo.

But every time it's happened I've sent a direct message to the vendor and
they've always been pretty swift with their replies.

So get a message out to them right away explaining your situation.

I'm sure if they're a reputable vendor your monies should be in your account
    pretty swiftly.

    All the best,

    Gavin

Same issue here - not getting paid. I've attempted to email vendors in JV Zoo - it is showing that my emails are "unread".

Here is my current dashboard data:

Outstanding Paid Commissions: $129.98 (8 payouts)

The vendors are Barry Plaskow and Michael Bereslavsky.

It isn't right - I'm spending my time & money to promote their product, makes sales, and they don't pay or respond.

You will probably have more success creating a support ticket instead of emailing. It may be that they are not receiving your emails!

I suspect the OP has long since resolved his issue, as this thread is almost two years old!

Edit. Have your read post No.2 in this thread?

OK, I just realised that you are talking about the vendors you've been promoting. Not JVZoo. You'll probably have to cut them loose as far as promoting their stuff. If they won't pay up, don't sell their stuff!

Same issue here as well, I even gave up. I created tickets to both JVZoo and the vendor for about 3 months and the vendor didn't reply to any of my messages. JVZoo always promised to resolve the issue but they haven't.

I think the problem is with the vendor, so just forget about them and promote someone else. This is not a problem that was only happening in 2012 it's still going on even today.

One issue I didn't understand as a seller of products on JVZoo is that I have to "approve" each affiliate so they get their commissions automatically. I didn't realize this at first, and had to make late payments direct to the affiliates after the time-period had expired.

Other than that, I've not had any problems with JVZoo . . . I see the 3 payments together, my payment, the affiliate payment and the small commission to JVZoo. Having said that, I only sell one or two a month, so maybe some issues apply to better selling products?

I think we may be getting somewhere. I referenced this thread with JV Zoo and received this response:

Thank you for contacting the JVZoo.com support desk.

I can completely understand your frustration. However, we are right in the process of revamping the support system. We are also looking into ways to improve the affiliate commission process. Right now, the managers are compiling a list of vendors that still owe commissions, and I am working on contacting them also.

We do understand about the issues with the affiliate commissions. I appreciate your patience in working with us in this matter.

Will update if any thing is resolved.

I currently have 2 outstanding payments that have been owed to me for over a year. The merchant will not respond and so I have basically resigned myself to the fact that I will never see the money.

It's really not JVZoo's fault since I am the one who agreed to promote the product on "delayed" commissions and the merchant is the one refusing to pay his affiliates.

I have solved the problem by never promoting any product on delayed commission. It's not a problem for me as I have affiliate sales into the thousands so 99.5% of merchants will approve me for instant commissions.

I just look at it as a lesson learned and take comfort in the fact that merchants who do this soon won't have any affiliates to promote their products anyway.
