Hi

I am in the process of setting up a squeeze page, with single optin. Then after this there will be up sale page related to the niche.

The questions are

1. Which is better between single optin and double optin.

2. how do i collect the buyer name and email id when they are ready to buy at the up sale page. (this is to a separate buyers list)

Help me in this Regard

Thanks in advance

Double optin is recommended. Once they confirm then you will directing them to upsell page which mainly has offer that you want them to buy. Once they buy you could integrate squeeze page on the download page. If you are using WSO pro or JV ZOO then they have an option to integrate auto responder without an additional step for buyer.

    my 2 cents

Depends. If you are driving them to the sales page after they opt-in I'd go for single. Then on your sales page you could add another single opt-in with a new list campaign and have them opt-in again to build up a buyers list before they make the payment.

    Hello SixAM!

    1. You can use SINGLE OPT-IN if using Paid Traffic to re-coup some of your original investment.

    2. You can use an "AUTOMATION RULE" feature within your Auto-responder so that you can separate the "Prospects" from the "Buyers".

    3. You can set up different campaigns within your autoresponder and as soon as someone makes a purchase you can direct them to another squeeze page where they fill in their details to get the download links etc.

    4. As soon as they enter their email address here after purchase; the "AUTOMATION RULE" will take that subscriber off the "Prospect list" and will automatically be moved onto the "Buyers list".

Hope this helps and all the best!!!

Most gurus out there still teach to get single opt ins and don't even go into details about double opt ins. So for that, I would have to say that it is still OK to get people into your list as a single opt in.

Once someone buys your product, you can create another email campaign and add them there manually or even tell them that if they want access to your product, they will have to enter their email into a new form and then get it through email.

From that campaign you can provide them with the product itself and then set up your auto-responder to send them more emails about other products.

    Hope this helps.

    1) I would use single optin in places where you need low resistance. (Squeeze page -> Sales page), and double optin in places where your visitor genuinely wants whatever it is you're offering.

    2) Depends on your implementation, but usually, there's a way to pass parameters from one e-mail form to another. So, after being added to one e-mail list, the visitor's e-mail address and name are passed to the second optin form, so they only have to click 'submit' instead of having to re-type in all their information.
