WSO SALES PAGE sizes

Hey guys
I was wondering what are the appropriate sales page for the WSO section?
I tried doing a test. and the size was 427X2048 . It seems a little bit small and hard to read.
Where should I host the image? So, that i can link it to the forum.
On top of that this size seems to be short in terms of width. I was using flickr to host my image and this is the biggest size they have. Anyone can help?

    427 is a little small....i use a width of 750. make it wider and it should be easier to read. I forgot the max width that you throw up on WF but a lot of people stick with 750 as the width of the sale images.

    i usually just host them on my WP account and link them over, but if you don't have WordPress then you can use something like photobucket.

    This has been discussed before. But to clarify, the optimal size is 740 pixels wide.

    749 pixels wide... Background color of #f5f5f5f5

    Personally I'd host images on your hosting - a lot more stable then a photo sharing website like flickr.

    Also, if you're slicing up images, max 10 images per post

      you can also use a transparent background. thats what i did because i didnt know the exact color of the WF background

        True, though sometimes when working with shadows and extended elements it's easier to 'see' it in PS using the correct color background (#f5f5f5)

        I use 749px too. You can go up to 780px, but it extends the thread post area to the right and it's damn UGLY

    I make my sales page in photoshop using the same grey background as the WF. Images are hosted on Amazon S3.

    I agree with 750px width for WSO's pages. And I use gray and White background color.

    As Mike stated.. Optimal size has been discussed and agreed upon 740px.

    Your maximum size before extending the area in the "post_message" is actually 748px.
