Can anybody help me ?

Hi warrior,

I have register myself in ELANCE (free ) site but i can only apply for 3 jobs in a month. But what if 3 of them not selected my bid for working. Then i have to wait for another 1 month to make 3 bid. Since i register myself in free section & i have not any single panney to deposit in the paid section to get more jobs. What to do ?? I am a Graphic Designer. & i have 10 yrs working experience in Advertising Agency. But bec. of my accident i m unable to join the office for another 4 month. I cant sit in home without earning . Already there is so much money spend on my hospital.

Can anybody know how i can i do jobs from home ? & earn some money so that i manage my expenses ?? I can design everything which is to be design. I can design web banners also (animated or state) both. If anybody in the warrior like to work with me i can also send some of my jobs done to them for preferences.

  • Maybe try registering with another outsourcing company.
  • I would recommend you put something in your signature now as well for the time being - let everyone know you do graphics and link to some online samples.

    If you are in US, put some ads in craigslist locally and see if anyone needs stuff.

    Also, you are close to count to hold a WSO and offer a package there. That will cost you to post, but you can get some jobs out of it and build your reputation here.


    Look for some more solutions where you can freely post your services.

    Try advertising on the forums at Sitepoint or Digitalpoint - there's often lots of requests there for work too!

      I register myslef in DP also but whenver i start posting it show me the msg that you have more than one username so you cannot be able to do posting. but i have only oneusername. I contact to the administrator there also but sitll today i didn't get nay reply from them.

  • If you haven't already, put yourself on Craigslist as a freelancer in any area. Keep an eye on the Gigs section.

    To upgrade your account to 20 bids per month on Elance is $9.95 per month but it actually works out that you break even at the end of a month if you get a job.

    The reason is, because with the free account you are charged $10 to withdraw cash and with the $9.95 per month,it is free. If you can find $9.95 per month and get bidding for only jobs that are absolutely ideal for you and take time to compile a great bid. You will most probably get some work.

    Remember to bid lower for your first jobs and you can undercut others. To start internet marketing you would need a few $$ to start up for domains etc anyway.

    Failing that, you could advertise your services on classifieds for free. Or create a free blog to promote your services.

  • I think everyone here made great suggestions and thought I would add to the list. We use rentacoder.com and been successful in finding people. They don't stop you from how many jobs you can accept (my assistant says), unless they do for new accounts?
    Just another avenue for you to try. Good luck!

    The Warrior Forum can become a good resource for you. I recommend that every day, you spend one hour looking for every topic where there is a question about graphics. Provide the answer and your help, maybe include a link to a graphic that is well done whether or not you made it. After three weeks, post a new topic that you would like to offer a WSO with graphics and ask what people want. Take the best answers and after you've been active a month, offer a WSO with graphics.

  • As Jill mentioned, your signature here. You could really spice it up, doesn't do anything as it is. Make it compelling to get some clicks and maybe some biz. Maybe do some freebie work for some higher profile marketers, least to get some testimonials.
